Terry Teagle was awesome. He took turnaround jumpshots from anywhere on the court, even when he was unguarded!
lol, nah, Saw Teagle play in high school (i was just a wee lad). Broaddus is tiny...like 200 people in the whole town. They won like 3 or 4 straight Class A state championships in the late 70's. Was pretty cool to see his name again. Sorry for getting off-topic....
I think you have to translate that number of shots into percentage of possessions - the Rockets played a much faster pace than the Lakers , thus more possessions and more shots. In the SAS interview , Howard spoke of how difficult Harden is to defend in the PnR , he knows he will be a big part of that. The difference being Harden is a willing passer .... We'll likely see quite a bit of Howard on the low block , especially when he is able to establish deep position early in possessions but we're also going to see a steady diet of PnR with both Lin and Harden. Those guy's at the three point line are going to get a lot of wide open looks and easy cuts to the bucket because its going to be damn near impossible to defend both Howard and the guard initiating the offense. The Rockets took 28.9 3's a game last season , tops in the NBA and shot 36.6% from three last season , good enough for 8th in the league I expect the percentage to rise as the shooters are going to get so many open looks.
Did you take into consideration how many shot attempts we put up as a team, how many possessions we got, how many points harden/Kobe scored, etc. I would imagine in the context of our offense harden took less shots than Kobe. And I would imagine our center would get more shots if Asik was better on that end which Howard is.
I'm not sure if it's been mentioned, but... Didn't Kobe have Dwight Howard on his team last year? And Harden didn't? I mean, shouldn't you be shooting less with the best center in the NBA than with Asik?
he didn't like d'antoni because the lakers didn't play well last year. he wanted a structured offense that centered MORE around him (but not centered around him). mchale ran a complete different set of offense with wolves. it depends on the talents available on the team. he said it many times. his departure had nothing to do with kobe(ball-hogging). if pj was the coach, he wouldn't leave the lakers, and the organization would have headed to the right direction. my impression of lin last year was that he would do whatever help the team win. but apparently, lots of lin′s fans just want him to fill out the stats sheet.
I see what you are saying here, but I respond by saying Kobe 5 rings clutch Lakers, and really, you have no place for your silly logic.

He's going to get a ton of easy baskets a game! He'd be a fool to not like it. I'm sure when he watched all of the passes Omer couldn't catch he probably started salivating. I wouldn't be surprised to see him average 21 and 12 easy this year. If he runs the floor and shows the ability to catch lobs and bounce passes like I've seen him do in the past then he'll love it.

It'll change and adapt based off the players we have. There should be a little more P&R with Howard and a lot more post-up play.
I believe the team is in great hands. McHale and Morey know more about NBA basketball than everyone here - by a factor of 10.
I'm sure Lebron Wade and Bosh's numbers were different before they became teammates. I wouldn't worry to much about it.
The Rockets play so much faster than the Lakers that by default Harden had those attempt figures close to Kobe's.
We have the best running center which is why we will be deadly. We can play both ways the Warriors style, or the Spurs style which is why I think we are a lot better than the national media perceive us to be.
