You know he is set to get paid $15 million in his last year right? His cap hit is $8 mil but his salary is $15 mil
with Howard & T.Jones Lin will look like linsanity again. He needs big that can run and finish strong. His 3 point shooting got better as the season went on. Parsons & Harden spacing is not an problem. Asik got better as the season went on, too. This season is starting to look like the perfect storm -- not for only Lin but the Rockets as a whole.
The premise of this thread is backwards... If Lin plays well he will more likely be traded to a team who may suffer a setback injury by midseason and will be willing to take on his contract.... Otherwise he is riding the pine for $5 and $15m. Good luck to the organization.
This. I like Beverly, but he is way overrated on here.he played the majority of the series with Westbrook on the bench and still didn't shut down the other pg's. When Lin DID play, it was against Westbrook, or with the bench in, and I think our whole team did far worse when we had Greg smith in as opposed to the smaller lineup that we adjusted which ended up being our starting lineup for the remainder of the series. Bev has never had to play a whole game against an elite pg nor has he performed well against said talent. Lin is inconsistent, but he definitely ha shown the potential to perform at a very high level, that, contrary to popular belief, Bev has not yet.
This is indeed a make or break year for Lin. I don't see what's wrong with the thread. Just look at the roster. Stars - Howard, Harden Proven commodity with high salary - Asik Unproven commodity with high salary - Lin Making less than $1.7mil/yr - everyone else There's no more development for this team. The Rockets are going to contend NOW. And Lin has to be worth his salary or Morey is certainly going to have someone he feels will make the team better. Lin is the ultimate wild card on this team. Someone with the highest potential for next year but also potentially suffers even more with Howard posting up more in the half court.
have you ever seen Jeremy play against the Miami Heat? in the words of Stephen A. Smith "it was like FRIGHT NIGHT." there goes your argument
I really like Lin as a person and a player. I think the best is yet to come. If Rafer Alston gets multiple do overs and extended seasons, let's give Lin a chance. Now let's all sing together, "Give Lin a Chance" to the music of "Give Peace a Chance." All we are asking is give Lin a chance. There you go, now doesn't that feel better?
If Howard posting up and is successful I don't see how that affects Lin, especially if we win with Howard doing that.
I guess because of the whole csn thing I missed Beverly tear it up against the heat, or any other contender.
i actually saw this game live, when Lin was in NY during Linsanity and got completely embarrassed by Miami. Stephen A. Smith's words weren't out of bounds.
As far as I'm concerned on Lin both our all stars want to play with him. Means both Harden and Howard believe in Lin to be their man. Harden must see some greatness in him to not want to search else where. Let the season play lets make judgement later.
he didn't play well against high quality opponents this whole season. He even air balled a 3 pointer to tie the game against Miami as a Rocket. Just stating the facts, if you're going to try to argue that Lin played well against high quality opponents, then at least let it be factual.
