with that front court, the three guard rotation of harden, lin and bev can no longer have excuses for helping too much and leaving their man wide open for three. If they do keep pulling that crap, then clyde needs to take all three to the side and club them.

Asik is definitely a keeper. Yes, it's a luxury but a luxury that all championship teams must have. I would not trade Asik unless it involved a superstar and even then I'd roll with Asik and be happy if we couldn't pull the trade off.

So Howard wants to give Asik the kind of speech Kobe gave him and expects Asik to be fine with it... Lol.

 

Asik won't start every game, but having a Twin Towers line-up against the Grizzlies, Spurs and Clippers, 3 of the top teams in the West, won't just be a luxury, it'll be a necessity. Obviously it's highly unlikely that the Rockets keep Asik through the end of his contract, but utilizing his strengths to win a few more games while increasing his value won't hurt. I just hope Dwight and the rest of the guys reach out to him quickly.

 

Kobe was a dick about it by most reports. This sounds quite a bit different.

 

That probably sounds no different to Asik because it's still Howard telling him to shut up and sit his azz on the bench. Lol.

 

Just keep Asik until the deadline or offseason, or whenever a very, very, good deal comes along. Keeping Asik until 2015 and just letting him walk would be a dumb way to lose a highly valuable asset, regardless of Dwight's opinion. Can you guys imagine Dwight as a GM? My goodness..
