Will Harden get in the way of how potentially good a Lin and Howard pick and roll could be? I just don't know how the ball movement is going to be with all three of them on the court.

Someone last week on the GARM posted a thread about the triangle offense. I think this would be great with Lin, Harden, Howard forming the triangle and Parsons spotting up in the weakside corner.

Great news! As long as one of TJones/DMo improve, we are set.

The awesome thing about that is that this team is so young, they'd buy into a new system and wouldn't have a hard time adjusting to it.

Well, looks like 60% Lin is a lock in the Dwight Era Rockets, if anything looks like he will personally gain most from this addition.
For me, I would like to see an improvement on his ball handling dribbling to the point were he can play slow. In that department, it's a big question mark for me.

Triangle offense, will take time for a team to get it to work. Needs high IQ players .

Dwight with lin passing ability is a very good combination. Lin might have weaknesses, but his pick and roll passing is elite.

Triangle offense works with one superstar and a bunch of great role players. We have to many ball dominante players.

Kobe Bryant and Shaq would have three counter arguments to your statement.
Kobe Bryant and Gasol have two.
Michael Jordan and Pippen have 6.

    Should I go on?

You make a great point, but they also had less ball dominante pg's without the current playmaking skills of Lin. They had Harper or Kerr and scrappers like Horace Grant and Ac Green. Our biggest strength will be we have two good to elite playmakers in lin and Harden so I think we wont see ISO ball, but we'll see them being creative as they are best when they have the ball. those two are not triangle made players if you want to play to their strengths.

Yeah, you're right. Running the triangle would take away from what Lin and Harden does, also we lack a 2nd proficient big man to effectively run it. Any one of the Gasol brothers would run it to a T because a good passing forward helps the offense run beautifully.

I believe the Orlando model is the best way for us to get back into the finals. D12 has done it with lesser players. With our core and supporting cast, we might make a trip in a year or two.

Very true, he was a very bad fit with the Lakers. So far, it looks like he'll mesh very well with our team. Can't wait for the season to start!

Asik could maybe as he is a good to very good passer, but Howard is no Shaq whom was a very underrated passer. I think our best bet is to be more creative and keep teams guessing.

I actually thought it was pretty cool when KD told Harden how proud they were of him after the last game during the playoff this year.

Harden would be an awful triangle player; the other three would be excellent.

Particularly Parsons playing point forward, and Lin moving without the ball. Harden is a ball heavy player, he'd be horrible for continuity that's his biggest flaw besides his No D lifestyle.

I've seen Phil and Tex win 11 championships with the triangle offense and I think we have the players to run it but not the coaches.

And teams usually don't make it to the finals and or win a championship without having a guard(s) who can run isolation plays. San Antonio runs isolation plays all the time. Difference is they have a lot of off ball movement and we don't.

I spent a year in okc, and they are certainly my second love team after the rockets, but I heard plenty of people hating on collison because they didn't appreciate what that guy brings to a team.

People on this board would ****ing LOVE collison, by the way, he embodies the team-first underrated player that rockets fans adore.

Little did he know that his team passed over the reigns of the conference when they traded him. Let's see how happy he is about Houston when the THunder are forced to play Perkins against us since Dwight's in. It's like 6 on 4, Perkins is miserable.

    A lin & DH p&r or a harden & DH p&r and it's going to get ugly.

D12 said in this below article that he want to play on the floor with Asik and Lin and make them play very good with him. Logically, that can't really happen if Asik and Lin only play off the bench right?

Personally, I don't now how many minutes D12 and Asik actually will be able on the floor at the same time....
