Right on actually. I bet they spent 2-3 hours with Zimmerman at the scene followed by 5 hours of interviews. Those professionals didn't feel they needed to test his sobriety... but you do!? The behavior we are talking about is sobriety or lack thereof not self-defense!
Yes, a toxicology report is factual. Your opinion isn't. This is where bias plays a role. There's no bias in a toxicology report.
It's not a dumb thread because most of you had never heard of this tragedy until I created the thread. Yet you are all steeped in the TM case. Why the difference? TM all over the national news yet nary a peep about poor Ms. Gardner. Why is that? If we can figure that out, it will tell us why this thread was worthy.
We already explained the difference. You're too invested in racism and white people and the terrible black racists that you cant' see straight.
NEWSFLASH: I wasn't there; the cops were... so it has NOTHING TO DO with my opinion. It was their PROFESSIONAL opinion. It would seem that you want Zimmerman found guilty because he was not subjected to a sobriety test. WEIRD. It's not like you've prejudged the test results, is it?!
You assume the cops always act accordingly... and no at least I don't want him found guilty, I wanted a trial and the trial happened. No one here is saying that the verdict was wrong. A trial was needed for an event like this and it happened. End of Story.
Uh, what is the history of race relations between the police department and the black community and the Sanford police department in particular? What universe do you live in? Professional opinion means **** compared to a toxicology report. Why would you rely on opinion in a murder investigation when the factual evidence is available to you? Thats incompetence. Prejudged what test results? There weren't any which is the damn point.
The lead investigator, Serino, was no friend of Zimmerman's. He thought GZ was a lightweight. He was pressured by friends in the Sanford PD who were friends of Martin's dad to press charges... still he didn't. The only available evidence lined up with Zimmerman's account-- which also means it might have really happened that way. Your prejudice is that you want Zimmerman found guilty until a toxicology report (which is never forthcoming) is available. In the absence of said report, you convict him by default. If GZ is the only suspect in the world who didn't get a tox report, you might have a case. Is that the case?
Opinion vs toxicology report. Which do you prefer in a murder investigation? It's not a difficult choice.
Eh, never said that. I'd like you to find me saying that. What I actually said is that testing the victim and not the killer was incompetent and gave rise to suspicion that a full investigation was not taking place for some reason possibly being some kind of bias.
Obviously a tox report would have been nice but what would it have proven? Are you just going to stand there and stamp your feet and convict Zimmerman because you don't have a tox report? All the trouble that has been undergone to dismiss the import of Martin's POSITIVE tox report and you want to make an icon of Zimmerman's imaginary tox report?!
10+ years on this BBS and you are still n--er nokkin the same doors as back then, no? Cute! See you at your next prayer request thread dog....
This thread was started to invite further racial divide and is honestly about the Zimmerman trial which a lengthy thread already exists. Can we please have this idiotic thread locked?
Uh, it would have proved if there were drugs or alcohol in his system that affected his judgement. What are you talking about? You said I was in outrage about a black kid being killed and I corrected you with specifically why I was outraged. Lets ignore that and start making **** up, is that your tactic now? Holy...
Does this not reduce you to a conspiracy theorist? A tox report would have been nice. Either the police (several levels of command I imagine) signed off on the lack of need for one after the officers had spent up to 8 hours with the suspect at the scene and back at the station. On the other hand, the suspect reported from the get-go that that Martin was acting "like he was on drugs or something." Turns out that TM did, in fact, have drugs in his system.
Hey giddy, Despite all the media attention paid to black victims of crime in relation to white, you can take solace in the fact that, all things being equal, blacks tend to be punished more severely that whites for the same crime. Incidentally, just as black men comprise a disproportionate share of armed robbers, white men compromise a disproportionate share of child sex crimes offenders. Why don't we hear about more of these cases?
I'm getting worked up, why were those 3 charged? Trayvon Martin wasn't charged initially Let's hope giddyup understands sarcasm and the error of his ways.
