Wow, you hardly ever see players talk like this.

he's only 28. early 30s hakeem was better than early 20s hakeem. early 30s kobe was better than early 20s kobe. 36 year old tim duncan is basically putting up prime tim duncan numbers.

to say he cant improve is quite ignorant.

To you last point which was also quite ignorant and dumb if i might add, Lin has shown and produce great potential with his Linsanity run and the crazy numbers that he put up. Dmo and tjones barely put up any numbers and have yet to get significant playing time.

If anybody is not living up to their potential its Lin, not dmo or tjones.

Oh dear god. Harden is younger then lin and hasn't even come close to reaching his potential. Right now harden has to get a mid-range game and cut down on the Turnovers.Harden has atleast 30 to 40% of improvement in him. You are clearly DELUSIONAL.

Well said. Very happy to see Dwight say this regardless of how everything shakes out in the future.

There were numerous reports of Rockets shopping Lin. And this includes cyberx, who many here believe unconditionally, saying that the Rockets shopped Lin but other GMs didn't like his contract.

Take it what you will. Personally, I treat every Morey's "we're not looking to trade Player A" as meaning "we did not find a team to rip off for a steal that involves Players A" rather than not trading them. If Morey gets a call right now for Lin that would make us a better contender for the next few years, that trade will go down tomorrow and Morey will work out the Harden/Howard details later.

No disrespect to Omer but the way i see it the rockets took a chance on him. No other team offered him the contract that we did. We brought him in and turned him into a top ten center in this league.

Yes he was already very good defensively in Chicago, yes he was well respected by the league's basketball nerds but no one could truly foresee him becoming a double double center.

IMO omer needs to respect the patience, and development the rockets organization has put into him and play alongside dwight. It's not his say to be traded, its the FO's decision. And if they value defense and stick to their guns of getting EQUAL value in return for a trade the most likely scenario is that Omer stays. (unless we trade for an all star)

I think (hope) hes getting at the fact that Harden is already a STAR in the league, verging on superstardom, whereas Lin is an average PG with the potential to be say, borderline allstar. My thinking is that the greater 'gap' for Lin is indicative of more untapped potential, not comparing the players directly ofc.

Howard obviously like to be the guy doing the talking, rather than the guy getting the speech. You can imagine how he felt like with the Lakers: Artets, Pau, Kobe, Nash, Blake, all in their 30s, older than him, probably trying to bestow their "experience" on him. Probably didn't want another year like that.

So it looks to me like the ONLY people that want Lin and Asik gone are the fans and the media. But Morey came out and denied it not ONCE but TWICE and doesn't know where these rumors come from.

I do think this team won't be the same without LIN as the floor general though. His continue to push the ball and run the fast break and finding open guys can't be matched by Beverley. There are times during the season that without LIN, the offense isn't going anywhere. Without him on the floor, the team continue to run simple offense by just passing the ball around and they have had great success with that as shown in the Playoffs games against the Thunder. But who's to say that with him (healthy), that the offense can be even better?? YES...he did not play well in the Playoffs and only in burst but then that could be due to injury. He could have had great impact and perhaps propel the Rockets pass the Thunder...but it's hard to see that playing with injury. Everyone was down on him and so was I....even though i am big LIN fan....i admit HE SUCKS in the Playoffs. But he's playing injured so i can't fully judge on it. Had he not been injured and played the entire Playoffs....it would have gave a better impression of where he is at. For now, i believe the Rockets wouldn't function as smoother without Jeremy Lin on the floor though. You can turn to Harden all the time but then when teams started to focus on him and he started turning over the ball. They already established during the season that going to Harden all the time is the not best way to deal with the defense. So both learned to share the ball and actually learned that they actually win more games as a result of sharing and not so much ball hogging like Harden did in the beginning of the season.

So is Lin better coming off the bench?? NO WAY! First of all, as i said before...his court vision and IQ is unmatched by Beverley. Time and time again he found Asik wide open but the problem is Asik is a bit slow and seem to fumbling the ball and turnover a lot and not the fastest big man on the floor. So I think it wasn't a good combination between Lin and Asik. With Howard coming in....LOOK OUT!

Wouldn't it be great it Houston fans could believe in their own players even half as much as the players believed in each other? I have never heard more doubting, and grumpling, and insulting of players by their own fans as I have here on Clutchfans. See, I'm from Oklahoma, and so I'm not used to all this. In Oklahoma the fans support the players through thick and thin. Take for example Nick Collision, whose been with the team since forever. Could the Thunder trade Nick and get someone better? Probably. However the fans here believe in him, root for him, and over the years he has produced for them; he knows that they're not gonna stab him in the back if he has a couple bad games in a row. Oklahomans root for their guys in the hopes they get better, rather than looking to other teams to see who they can get as replacement for them in a trade. Anyway, I'm not an OKC fan, I just live here. And it has been my observation that the fans here are way more loyal than the fans in Houston.

OKC fans are just thankful they even have a NBA team that wants to play there.

ever since the advent of the internet and messge boards/comments section, hating on athletes have been the norm.

nothing new. and yes you're not used to it because the thunder is your first professional sports team.

Yes, as my pappy used to say, "you dance with them that brought you", but I understand Asik's need to stake his own claim.

If this is true from Feigan then it's a smart basketball move by Houston.

There is no one on the market worth Asik's value.
Rondo, Calderon... etc for Lin is a joke.
And no matter what anyone says, Beverley has not shown he is ready to take over starting PG duties.

    BRING ON THE TWIN TOWERS!!!

My prediction from 8 weeks ago:

    Lin
    Harden
    Parsons
    Howard
    Asik

    IN MOREY WE TRUST

    How the conversation went:

Gm Assistant: "You guys like Asik and Lin?"

    Harden: "They're okay."

Howard: "I don't know, I'm 50/50 on what to think about them."

Howard and Harden want Asik and Lin to stay CONFIRMED!

    Dis iz ay jokez
