If people are fans of Asik and Lin

you'd have to root HARD for Terrence Jones and Donatas Motiejunas to SUCCEED

Because if power foward is a SHAKY WEAK spot,

then the Rockets will be FORCED to use Asik and Lin as the valuable TRADE PIECES for an UPGRADE.

So their tenure is partly in the hands of those 2 second year players. I hope TJones and DMo are progressing, because though I know its about stars, I don't want to see more turnover

Lin is the point guard..LOL what are you talking about? Harden will bring up the ball a lot. Just like Lebron James, Kevin Durant of last season, Kobe Bryant and D. Wade. That doesnt mean that Chalmers, Westbrook, and Nash(Fisher and Shaw from back in the days) ae not the PG's.

I am with Harden and Howard. We should keep both Asik and Lin. But like many have mentioned already, if they are traded for Love, LaMarcus, or Horford..LOL I wont be mad at all.

A front court of Howard, Asik and Parsons will work out.

Sounds like the best way to win some leverage back in trade negotiations with other GMs. Still see at least Omer being moved eventually this year.

I just don't see Howard and Asik playing on the floor together at the 4 and 5 being successful. Neither one of them can stretch the floor and the paint will be a traffic jam. Do the Rockets just limit Asik's minutes? That would be a waste :/

    This.

If we can collectively get 40 points and 30 rebounds out of the 4/5 we will be fine. Tj and dmo are going to be the most open they have ever been in their life. I think they will Tear it up.

I think Omer will be playing 20 minutes or so as Howard's backup. We have a plethora of young PFs that still have potential to blossom-playing Omer or Dwight at the 4 would limit their potential IMO. It's a shame and I feel bad for Omer because he could likely be losing a lot of money from future contracts he receives due to being relegated to a backup again.

Sounds like Howard and Harden are covering their on @$$ for when Lin gets traded later on down the road so the good people in Asia won't be mad at them and Morey is taking the roll of the villain... Genius.

If Asik is backing up Howard and getting 20 minutes or so a game that would mean Howard would get less than 30 minutes as a starter... Howard needs to play around 35 minutes a game like max contract players do. And this can't be his team when he's playing 28 minutes a game and Harden and Parsons are playing 36. Plus he would take a hit in his numbers and I'm sure he has personal goals of leading the league in certain categories (like most players) as well.

But I would like them to move Asik. We owe him that much. And some players care more about making their money and playing more than they do about winning championships. Especially young guys. Look at Harden. He locked himself into a 5 year commitment with at the time a lottery team. He didn't hesitate to sign the contract. Good for us though.

    Assistant GM... hmm.

Definitely a power struggle going on between Morey and the two stars.

    I dont think it's a big deal.

Lin & Asik we're tradable for a certain value (in DM's eyes). What he is saying is that, that value is now even higher because of H2O. It doesn't mean they are untrade-able. If an elite player becomes an option, he will take it, knowing that H2O will see the benefit in a third elite player.

People will follow Jermey wherever he goes (heck, I'll pep in on him too) but that doesn't mean they have to stop watching the Rockets. And if they think Howard and Harden would have something to do with Jermey getting traded, many over there might stop tuning in. But if Morey is the blame _ that's kool because they don't have to see Morey on TV... But that's just my IMO. Lol..
