I'm at a loss for words -- I never thought I'd hear SAS be so on-point in his remarks, especially about JL. He doesn't have to be the man, or even the 2nd or 3rd man, he just has to 'do his job.' Initiate the offense, guard the opposing PG, look to score opportunistically. Matt and Adam are right, though. If he can shoot 36% or higher next year from distance, this is going to be a really hard team to beat. The west is wide open, but I really expect the Thunder to regress - they've done nothing to upgrade their bench scoring, so they're going to be reliant on Jackson and Lamb. Those guys have to make big leaps for them to hold serve relative to the last 2 seasons.
Don't care what Stephen A. Smith said about Lin. He trashed Lin when Lin left the Knicks last year. It was believed by some that Smith did this because of his relationship with the Knicks and Carmelo Anthony. Stephen A didn't watch the Rockets games against Miami this year. What he can do is to repeat Lin's 1 Miami bad game over and over, when Lin was essentially a rookie. Miami defense is to trap the PG intensely. That's how they beat Rondo and Rose. To beat the Heat, most teams build with post-up players and shooters. James Harden also had horrible playoffs games against Miami. In game 3 and 4, he score only 8 and 9 pts over 30mins.
Stephen A Smith is always talkin down on JLin im sure he hates him..He compliment JLIn then talk a lot of crap...The fact is JLin need more experience and eventually he can be a great PG. The heat is the nba championship for 2 straight season of course JLin is not goin to play great against them especially when they were scouting him from the start of Linsanity...Stephen knows what JLin can become in 2 to 3 years from now so he is taking all the shots he can at JLin..If they just using JLin to shoots 3 houston should just trade him right now..

This is crazy for SAS to blame the loss to Rockets in MSG to Felton. The Knicks's guards were too slow to stop Lin, Harden and Douglas. The Rockets had better rebounds and Lin made Tyson Chandler in foul trouble. SAS used to ignore the facts when talks about Lin.
jeremy lin is a scorer who plays point......well that's perfect then cause Harden's running point! SAS talking about Lin having reputation for being exposed?? He's at worst a slightly above average defender. Even some of the best hitters in baseball strike out 100 times a season. Just cause he gets lit up once in a while doesnt mean anything. Kemba had 1 game, Lillard had 1 game. But Lin came back and got the better of him later on in POrtland. Nothing else that's obvious pops up.
well he aint blaming Melo! That's for sure. His facts dont match. You cant bring up Lin beating up on Felton that day and come back minutes later say "sometimes guys get the better of you." DOn't know what he's talking about how Lin didnt fit the Knicks plans. His numbers were still solid with Melo 2 years ago. Felton isnt much better. The Knicks actually needed more scoring from Felton, cause no one else on that team can create outside of Melo, he would've been a perfect fit. He also needs to let the Miami game guy. THose are the world champs and they made it their mission to stop him that game. People forget Lin came back the game after that, looked Kyrie Irving in the face and dropped 20-10 in a win. As bad as he looked that 1 game vs Miami, wasn't any worse than how Harden looked vs Miami that same year.

that's more likely his without shoes height. http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Dwight-Howard-2888/ he was 6'9" without shoes as a 17 year old at the nba draft combine back in 2004. it's not beyond the realm of possibility for a 17 year old to grow a half inch. in that pic, seems like until they get to the shoulders they are even, it's pau's long head and neck that produces the inch or so difference. what's important is wingspan and standing reach and dwight has plenty of that.
