I want to clarify this sheridan quote.

For non-taxpaying teams the matching rules go thusly:

If the outgoing salaries are:
$0 to $9.8M then the match must be within 150% of the outgoing salary, plus $100,000
$9.8M to $19.6M then the match must be the outgoing salary plus $5 million
$19.6M and up then the match must be within 125% of the outgoing salary, plus $100,000


for taxpayers the matching rules are 125% of the outgoing salary, plus $100,000 for all trades no matter what the outgoing salary.(another downside of being taxpaying teams)

Metta World Peace says he wants to "play in China," which is of course code word for playing for the Houston Rockets, the most popular team in China.

Doc Rocket's "double whammy" is obviously a reference to Lakers losing both Metta and Dwight to the Rockets.

I could see the past reference = artest and the future reference as him coming back to rockets. Which is a double whammy losing DH and Metta to Houston.
