If we could find a solid backup for Howard (Camby) I would do it. I think Illyasova is as good a fit alongside Howard as there is Not named Love, Bosh or LMA. He is an amzing three point shooter that can rebound and run the court. His defense isn't terrible but that's his weakness and no shotblocking. But with Howard that is not such a detriment. Again along side Howard he is a great fit and I would trade Asik for him. But I think Morey has his eyes on LMA or maybe even Love.
Look i've followed all the turkish players in the NBA this season. The best NBA turkish players are: 1.)Enes Kanter 2.) Omer Asik 3.) Ersan Ilyasova Kanter can be an all-star, Asik is the most consistent. But i watched the bucks play this season at-least 50+ times, he was actually bench the 1st 20 games because of Skiles who i hate. Then he came back into the starting 5 and was putting WOW numbers the last 40 games of the season he was averaging 20 and 10 on 50%shooting. Now i think Ilyasova is a little streaky BUT he can score better than Anderson thats a fact. Yes they can both soot and yes Ilyasova field goal and three pint % is better but Anderson is basically like steve novak. So if Ilyasova's 3 ball isnt dropping and so is Anderson's Ilyasova has more of a complete game to impact the game. His a pick and pop guy he sets tons of screens not only on ball but off ball, his got one of the best motors in the game, im telling you. Espically the way the rockets play a run and gun offence, Ilyasova crashed the offensive boards like no tomorrow his got long arms 6ft10 and gets a lot of tip ins. And he also LED THE LEAGUE IN CHARGES TAKEN THE LAST SEASONS. which goes on to much next point defence, his a better deffender then anderson because his savy his got long arms and takes charges and even better his got D12 behind him. Ilyasova is better than Anderson ilyasova=18.37 PER anderson=18.17 His only 25 as well. But as the Bucks are loaded with Centres they wouldnt want Asik so a three way trade has to happen. Also the bucks have been trying to ship Ilyasova for a long time the wizards almost gave their 3rd pick 4 hims so he can pick and pop with wall. The nets have been going 4 him 4 almost 2 years now.
You guys know they have Larry Sanders who lead the league in blocks... Why in the heck would they want Asik...?
Asik and Ilyasova aren't worth the same value even if Milwaukee were to include other pieces. Considering how tough it is these days to find a tall decent center who can rebound as well Asik can, you can get far better. If cards are played right, Asik can land a potential All-Star (with other pieces involved). Ilyasova is merely a role player who can shoot. So no.
I would live to have him cause I think he fits great and if the plan is to keep parsons with this group your gonna have to roll with a of like him. Iv like ersan for a long time and think he's a great fit for us he's a big body who can score like crazy and rebound. His defense isn't great but it's not bad either. With that said I know it's not a morey type deal cause the value doesn't add up but to me he's a better fit and player than Anderson.
Kanter can't even get starting minutes. If Kanter really was that good they would have found a way to move Jefferson over to the 4 and Kanter to the 5.
we already screwed the pooch with the bucks Asik for Mbah A Moute and Ilysova would have been nice, but that ship has sailed.
