It'll be great seeing Motie sitting at the end of the bench this season, when he should be our starting 4. One thing I get tired of is Houston (most of the time) using their draft picks as trade bait when they start to show real promise.
I think even if he's not starting at the beginning of the year, he'll be starting by the end of the year. With the bulk he's put on and a chance to adjust to the pace of the NBA, I think he'll emerge as a really good player for the Rockets this year.
How can you tell with that huge t-shirt and shorts? All you can see are his forearms and shins, which actually look pretty huge. The fact that he's taking the picture in the weight room makes me happy.
Looks like dmo is doing D-mo camp for kids. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=WPqmPaQ3QiE#at=48
You act like the guy never got his chance. He was a starter for a while but lost his spot due to his own performance.
If he uses testorone or other forms of cycling he can build about 10 pounds of muscle a month. To do it naturally under the best conditions, it at best would be about a pound a month.
I went from 185 to 245 in 7 months. Took testosterone and ate like there was no tomorrow. BP% went from 9.2% to 10.6%. Its possible.
Hope that weight gain isn't just fat. D-Mo got winded really fast last year and his main weapon was his speed. Also if he did get more muscle, it should be lower body since last year basically even a 6'6 guard can knock him down.
In the video posted above it sure looks like his base is much larger than it was months ago. His upper body will probably always big skinny, but gaining that strength in the lower body will be what really gives him the position he needs in the post. He's naturally a below the rim type of player so he should be fine.
Keep in mind, he spent some time in the d league. If there's anywhere on earth where you can gain weight rapidly, it's in the valley.
