Y! Sources: Nearly a decade after leading Detroit to title, Chauncey Billups agrees on a two-year deal with Pistons. http://yhoo.it/1dmdHgA
He won a ring in his prime as the Finals MVP, I wouldn't care either. Hopping on LeBron's back and chasing a ring doesn't compare. He's going to go back to his city, play an important role, help them make the playoffs. The Pistons might actually be the scary lower seed this year, the way the 76ers were a few years ago. They are going to be GOOD defensively. A huge athletic high energy team.
Dumars has been bad as of late.Signing josh smith, charlie v,ben gordon,Tayshaun, and now this. I know he's a detroit icon, but joe needs to go.
are you guys serious? The just drafted a great shooter in caldwell-pope. They signed a super athletic big and have an awesome 4 big man rotation with drummond, monroe, smith, and tony mitchell who many had as a top 10 pick a year ago but fell to the second round. Chauncey billups Brandon Knight Kentavious Caldwell-pope Josh Smith Greg Monroe Bench: Andre drummond may be the best 6th man Billups is that veteran they need
Remember reading somewhere that he'll probably join the Pistons' front office once he retires. I like this move though, he has a chance to come in and lead this team to the playoffs if he's healthy.
1. Tony Mitchell is a part of their big man rotation now what? 2. Caldwell Pope is a two guard. 3. Josh Smith will start at SF. 4. You're very silly.
The play of Drummond was one of the few bright spots for Detroit last season. There's no way he's going to be coming off the bench. He's good enough to start for some of the best teams in the league, much less Detroit. The signing of Josh Smith is really confusing. Monroe and Drummond are a great 4-5 combo. Now Josh Smith coming in just mucks things up.
I imagine he wants to retire as a Piston, and at the same time help tutor their Youngblood guards. Respect. Could've tried to ring chase with the Heathens.
