They may have wanted to establish Starks being wargs with the scene with Bran. Viewers may be less confused since they've been slowly establishing that with the whole green dreams/three eyed crow stuff. From there it would be easier for people to accept other characters being wargs.
The counter arguement is that the whole prologue from Dance is about Varamyr Sixskins worging into another body at his death, and him thinking about how he should have taken Ghost from Jon, even though Jon Snow had strong worg abilities himself. Which opens the possiblity of Jon doing the same thing.
Done with all five books, although I liked book 4 it was missing my favorite character and I was going thru some withdrawals but book 5 took care of that. Isn't there some preview chapters from book 6 somewhere?
of course not, anybody believing GURM would kill off his golden boy is naive. Just like he killed Kat... Anybody that has major POV chapters (except Ned) doesn't die. Thats the trend. Anyone that doesn't have major POV chapters is expendable, even if they are integral to the story line like Rob.
My theory, and I'm sure one that's been replicated: GRRM killed him off to remove him as LCC of the Night's Watch to release him from his vows so he can become King of the North (and/or Westeros). Also to 'wake him' to his full warging potential AND possibly connect him to Bran in the green-man trance. Yeah, but she thankfully doesn't have POV chapters anymore. She's not really 'Cat' anymore, as she was dead a good while before she was reanimated. She's a vengeful ghoul at this point.
I think stannis is not dead only because of the letter that jon got from lord Bolto’s b*stard asking him to return his pet reek.
No, so far the only way to make a Stark stay dead is to behead them (Ned, Robb), Jon is only stab a few times nothing a few band-aids can’t help heal…(hopefully) unless he is the chosen one that lady melisandre keeps talking about and Jon is born again.
Good observation! And Cat isn't even a blood Stark. I'm not sold that Jon is the one who is reborn in salt and smoke (did I get that right?). But he certainly isn't dead-dead.
lord manderly's "the north remembers" speech was one of my favorite moments what happens when davos finds rickon and lord manderly is dead? this is why i dont think he is dead either
As hand of the king his whole goal was to get the North behind Stains the one true king of the 7 kingdoms. If they are all dead his goal would be to protect his heir princess Shireen. Would he try and marry her to Rickon to ensure an alliance with the North? I know this is out there but that is my guess.
Also do you guys think that little finger will try and seduce/rape Sansa or continue with his plan (supposedly) to marry her off?
little finger will go with his plan to marry her off cause the people in the vale want to eff him up already
A new chapter was released today. http://www.georgerrmartin.com/excerpt-from-the-winds-of-winter/ (the site is really slow right now)
How about he should just stop taking so long with the book so he can incorporate useless stuff? I am eagerly waiting, but I won't lie...the last 2 books could have been told in 1/4 of the pages he used, the rest was utterly useless.
