    We should try it for a season. If we go really far, he might come around and see that it is better to be part of a championship contender than to put up stats on a crap team.

    Look at what he did for his first year starting.

    The third star might come in the shape of Terrence, Donatas or even Lin if he can connect to his best season. There is still hope.

    Are all better then Asik off the top of my head...I'd have a hard time putting him in the top 10.

    Hibbert and Gasol maybe the rest, no.

    The Mavs won a championship recently for one reason and one only, Tyson Chandler.

    Asik allows this team to be elite defensively for 48 minutes which is what it takes to win championships.

    Calling Asik a star may be a bit of a stretch but having Asik on this team IMO brings us much closer to a championship than some crappy stretch 4 that can't defend a Budha statue. The rules in the NBA today make it almost impossible to keep perimeter players out of the paint so when they get there they need to be sent packing and the glass cleaned.

    Yeah...And if you throw in Duncan the list gets a bit longer...

    Also, a healthy Bynum is better than Asik..Question is whether or not he's going to be healthy...
