IMO, a top 5 center in the league is all-star material. If the Rockets want to win now they must keep Omer Asik. Keeping Asik would prolong both he and Howard. Asik should suck it up for one more season to try and win it all. They have a pretty good chance with him coming off the bench. A line-up with Asik and D-Mo would be great. They already proved that they play well together last season. Those two would give us a twin towers coming off the bench which would in turn give us the best bench in the league. I know Asik is not feeling the idea at the moment, but truth be told, this is the best situation for him. He already knows the team well. I am hoping that the thought of possibly winning it all will changes his mind because keeping him on this team is more important now than going out looking for someone else. We already have the star we are looking for. I know he is not the glorified star that you all were hoping for, but he is currently a huge piece to our win now puzzle. They should do everything they can to Keep Omer.
Asik and/or Lin will be traded by the end of the season, most likely to be Asik. Oh, and Asik is not a star, and will never be an all star. A solid 12/10 guy, but that's it.
CoachBadLee, I'm assuming. 3rd star may be Parsons. Could even be TJones, depending on how he develops.
I'm assuming it's short for Coachbadlee. He's trying to make it seem like he's the one that came up with this gem.
Just saying. What are the advantages of keeping Asik? One, it makes the team bigger. Second, without him, we still only have Greg Smith as a back-up.
I always thought it was coach "baldy" as in you have no hair! Nooooowwwww I get it. Cbl clears it all up
Keeping Asik will just ensure the team will remain a second round exit team. Asik needs to and will be traded for another big piece.
Parsons is an all-star type player, but he is not the most important person in this situation. Adding Dwight was one thing, but keeping Asik would be an entirely different situation. One that would benefit the Rockets greatly. I'm talking about owning the boards for an entire game.
