I thought Kobe's, "Let me be your 'Master Splinter'" spill was a pretty good shot & had a good chance of working. I don't know Dwight personally, never spent two seconds talking to him, playing with him, sharing a locker room, or a plane with him, so I'm going to assume Kobe chose that argument because he thought it had the best job of succeeding. An equally powerful argument that I think should have been an option would have been the, "I need you" argument. "I want to win a 6th ring & I can't do it without you. I've got just enough left to win one more & I'd love nothing more than for you to help me get it done. If you think we need a new coach, I can make that happen...." But alas, we'll never know.
I think press conference will be like Shaq in Miami in 2004 where the fan rally occurred outside but no public indoor. That's my guess. If that's the case, that would be so cool.
Any public comments from Lin yet? Lin's @JLin7 twitter account has been silent since the Howard trade and I have not heard he has made a public comment yet on either TV or in the newspaper. Does anyone known if he has said anything?
Are you trying really hard to be a troll? You can do better than that. How's this... Lin fans to me seem much smarter than that feeble attempt at trolling.
Man i love these vids! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Gy3I_yR9QU4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Arash's fit continues. Wonder if the guy will stop anytime soon. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>It's clear Dwight is simply more comfortable having his own team, in a smaller market without all the pressure.</p>— Arash Markazi (@ArashMarkazi) <a href="https://twitter.com/ArashMarkazi/statuses/355196839470960641">July 11, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Gary Lee @LakersNation 3 minutes ago Dwight wanted Lakers to amnesty Kobe to get CP3 on the Lakers..... Good job Lakers for standing by @Kobe Bryant and the 5 rings he got LA Read more: http://hoopshype.com/twitter/media.html#ixzz2YiY1PAM7
It's clearly clear that this guy wanted Dwight to sign with the Lakers. It didn't happen so get over it.
This Gary Lee douchecanoe has been on a twitter tirade about Dwight and Houston since Friday. He needs to get over it, and understand that his beloved team is circling the drain. Nobody gives a **** about Kobe anymore outside of Lakers fans.
Broussard: Three main problems: 1. Not another minute for Mike D'Antoni 2. Did not want to play more than one season with Kobe 3. He feels like Nash is done. Defensively, it broke down the Lakers defense every possession Nash was out there. He felt Nash was more on D'Antoni's side than his side. When Dwight goes to Houston, the best thing he can say is I'm going to take responsibility. Say I made this choice and I'm taking responsibility.
