I do believe there are acceptable reasons to initiate physical violence. Physical altercations usually end in bruises and hurt feelings. I think the trial should have been for manslaughter, and primarily targeted reasonable fear for his life.
Hi bob maybe your memory isn't functioning because you are high again so i will repeat this. the call is evidence of mind state and one of the few facts we have
see this is the problem. There are people openly cheering on one side or the other in this case. Why not let the facts and court process sort itself out, as opposed to cheering on your predetermined side?
Has Zimmerman made a facial expression during any portion of the trial? Even if it was outright self-defense, he still took the life of another human being. He should be angry, sad, remorseful, or happy he took a killer off the streets. Something. He's a complete sociopath, meaning he lacks emotion of any kind. He seems to be the type of person that make lie detectors inadmissable in court. Please don't confuse that with a psychopath. I think that's the primary reason the world is watching so intently. So was OJ Simpson. Joran van der Sloot. Casey Anthony. It's sickening when you think about it. Martin's life was no more important than the random gang banger that dies.....now, yet some people have not missed a single moment of testimony.
Are you really that dense? Its been 14 months since the killing and he's on trial for a potential life sentence. And nobody has suggested he took a killer off the street .. or a gang banger Just because the pro-Martin crowd is all emotional over no evidence doesn't mean Zimmerman should be displaying all kinds of emotions. Its his life thats on the line here. I would be stone faced too.

I'm with Nancy Grace, throw me bone. You'd really be stonefaced? I got emotional when I heard the 911 tape, but Zimmerman didn't flinch. Didn't close his eyes, shake his head, nothing. That single shot will be with him his entire life and, nothing? Granted he could be drugged to the max with anti anxiety meds.
That is NOT what you have to believe to say Zimmerman has no liability. To say Zimmerman should not be convicted, you have to believe that it is a reasonable possibility that Zimmerman was apprehensive of imminent death or great bodily injury (great bodily injury itself being a legal concept that probably doesn't mean what you think it means) and that such fear was reasonable. Further, that there is a reasonable possibility that the force causing that fear was not in response to a like force directed against Martin. The burden is not on the defendant to prove that he was acting in self defense, the burden is on the prosecution to prove that he was not.
