I read your post and I know why you are frustrated. But so am I.. And in point of fact you did give a personal opinion on Lin. People can use their powers of inference even on teh internetz you know. When you took up for the haters saying basically that they were justified and fair although at least a dozen posts previous to yours in this thread called Lin trash etc., you are tacitly (not that tacitly actually) giving us your opinion. The point is, I don't want to bicker. I've never dogged a Rockets player. And I just want to get excited about the exciting coming year, but the hate is so palpable, I don't want to let it run rampant and unchecked. I know I should just let it all go, but seeing you go off when you felt Dream was disrespected, you should know how it feels to have one of your favorite players disrespected. (And to those haters out there, minim not comparing Dream to lin again. I've seen Dream dominate live, I would never go there.
And there is the base of the problem. You inferred what I meant thru *your* filter. I care nothing for that, I state what I mean and I mean what I state....I'm a grown ass man who doesnt bother with pussyfooting...I'm not interested in making friends, I dont care if Im liked, I state things the way I see them. I negrep and apply infractions to folks who make trouble, no matter what position they have taken. I took up for the FORUM, for the community that has been strong here for many years...I dont take sides in this ridiculous war you guys spend so much time waging. Call me an advocate for the battlefield if you will....adn let me tell you...the owner of the battlefield is VERY VERY TIRED of all this crap. The mod actually did give his opinion. He is hella trolling. He states that Lin underperformed for his contract and then when people reply he rolls his eyes and talks about people having to defend their god. SMH even mods are trollin

I was just trying to I guess, characterize the opinions that have been beaten to death ad nauseum with the minute/naive hope people would tone down bickering over it, all I've really done is throw gasoline on the fire. Well thats why we have to wait and see this season. I posted in other threads, that I truly think Lin will be traded mid-season if he doesn't put up numbers like his second half performance last year. (I think he will) If he somehow regresses, we all can trust morey to fix things if he trades lin.:grin:

Truth to tell, he'll probably be traded if he doesn't put up numbers BETTER than his second half performance. That 8M is a very tempting pile of money, and Harden and Lin's skillsets overlap too much. But he might be able to do that. I hope he lasts at least through half the season just because I want to see how that plays out... though not at the expense of losing games over it.

I would argue that JLin gets more hate than any other player in NBA history who's 24 or younger, and has had the 3rd most impact (Morey Win Shares) in getting their team to the playoffs in the harder of the two conferences after a several year drought. If someone wants to dispute this, please give me the name of the player.
Morey will not sell Lin low...if Lin does not shoot at least 36% from the 3, and Bev is playing well, then Lin will get the 6th man role to feast against backups and make him look better. Then he will be traded unless the team kicks ass with him as the 6th man.
