Indeed. It was Wilbon. They seem to be completely unaware of how good James Harden is and that Morey ain't done.

Dwight could sign his contract 38 minutes ago. You won't hear anything from the Rockets though, as they apparently have been put on mute until Saturday.

Interesting he is the only one reporting it I have seen. Figure espn would have been eating this up. Even if the rockets can't talk about it they should be allowed to sign any free agents though

Wonder if they'll still have the public press conference, then. Would be hard to promote it if they can't say his name. :) That said, no reason Dwight can't sign today or tomorrow and just wait to hold the conference until Saturday.

The highest field goal attempt Dwight last season had was 18. Only18 freaking field goal attempts. that's what kobe would have in a half. no wonder he wanted out.

Kobe was injured v. the Spurs in the playoffs. His highest was 16 attempts in that series. He just didnt have it last year, and he said that was due to a lot of factors.

Lets hope he plays better next year.

The press conference is scheduled for Saturday, but I dont see why Dwight couldn't have either already signed his contract a few hours ago, or sign at some point today. He's already in Houston, and even if he wasn't, I'm sure he can get to a fax machine somewhere to get it done.

The press conference is scheduled mostly because Summer League goes on until Friday afternoon. Plus there are some folks rumored to be flying in for the conference.

Have Anderson and Ohlbrect been waived yet?

This needs to happen with the T-Rob and White deals before we can sign Dwight to the max.

-Officially trade Thomas Robinson to the Trailblazers
-Officially trade Royce White to the 76ers
-Waiving of Ohlbrecht & possibly James Anderson
-Signing of Dwight Howard with full max offer
    -Signing of Garcia
    -Signing of Casspi

Other trades?... who knows, but I doubt they move Asik right now with Bynum & Pekovic are officially signed with new teams. There just wont be a great market for Asik's services until teams know for sure they can't just sign a starting center like Pekovic with their capspace. Asik will probably have much better value once the season starts going into the February trade deadline.

I really hope they don't have to waive Anderson. Come on Dwight, take a few hundred thousand less.
