Exactly. They think they're as smart as Daryl Morey just because they had a good year or two in Fantasy Basketball.

Come on Ainge..you still owe McHale for getting you Garnett. It's time to return the favor.

Would you also trade 1 million Jeremy Lins and 1 James Harden for 1 Rajon Rondo, because Harden's game would be drastically limited and he would be turned into a spot up shooter, because Rondo sure as heck can't play off the ball.

    Yeah, as a 6th man.

Is that what you want to turn him into again? I'm SURE that'll go over well in the Harden camp after what the Rockets promised him last year.

Our role in a Rondo trade may be as a third party facilitator, using Lin and some of our other assets to send to Boston while getting something of value back.

The whole Boston-Detroit-Milwaukee-Atlanta situation bears watching. There are 3 starting point guards there...Rondo, Teague, and Jennings. Milwaukee and Atlanta keep dickering around about swapping Jennings and Teague. Detroit doesn't really have a starting point. They've got Brandon Knight but they're obviously unhappy with him because they brought in Calderon and wanted to re-sign Calderon b4 he bolted to Dallas. And Detroit has brought in Josh Smith...a move that some have interpreted to be pre-emptive to going after Rondo.

Bottom line: Watch these teams...there may be a Lin trade developing here.

If tjones or dmo could be depended on to hit mid range and threes consistently rondo would fit ok I think. He needs some shooters around him. Parsons, harden, and tj/dmo would be enough.

But rondo has a big personality and Lin has good chemistry with the guys. Lin also should be pretty good with this group.

At this point I'm thinking it might be more beneficial to keep the team as is and see what happens. Wait unto the deadline to make a deal if one needs to be made.

He played more minutes than sef.... So he spent plenty of time with the starting unit.

If Rockets really need a PG upgrade, it would somebody who can defend, pass and shoot at least on the average. Cross one out of those 3 and it's not acceptable. That's why it's a position that's hard to fill-in. Flexibility is warranted in that position for the Rockets. That's what it means playing with Harden and Howard. In order to thrive, the PG needs to be able to adapt his game because Harden and Howard won't adjust just for the sake of the PG. It's the other way around. Meanwhile, Rockets really need an upgrade in the PF spot barring a breakout season from one of our PFs (most likely TJones). I'm betting for TJones to have a breakout year since the defenses will focus on Harden and Howard most of the time.

Terrible fit for this team, I'd rather have Lin/Parsons than Rondo

First off Rondo is one of my least liked players in the league. He's a douche.

He cannot shoot to save his life. I can't think of a worse fit as a point guard to pair with our team.

He played about 30 minutes a game at most in OKC. Those are not superstar-in-his-prime starter minutes.

But by all means, try to make Harden a third wheel in a revamped Howard-Rondo (perhaps the two most unpredictable and childish personalities in the NBA) Rockets team. Let's see how that goes.

Danny Ainge has already said several times Rondo is off the table in any trade talks.

Let's look at a lineup with rondo(we are not getting him)

Rondo(can't shoot. has to have the ball to be successful)
Harden(can shoot very well but for peak performance offense has to go thru him)
    Parsons(good in any situation)
Jones-DMO(either one would have to be a shooter not a creator)
Howard(needs the ball to be effective. just ask the Lakers what happens when the offense doesn't run thru him)

Sum it up. a lot of conflict. who's the guy? Lakers 2.0! could there be a worse pg fit for us?

That means absolutely nothing. Ainge is trying to drive his trade value higher so he can trade him.

7th heaven baby. Rondo is the second best playmaker in the league behind paul. Harden would gladly let Rondo run the show more then him.

    Bleacher Report is crap speculation.

Most of the stuff they churn out is garbage. Its like they read the fan posts and publish the most interesting speculation.

Rondo does not fit this team and there are big question marks over his ACL injury. Will he be like D.Rose and take another year to recover?

    No thanks.
