......is called the SLAM DUNK. Read up on it kids. Tomahawks, Two-hands and Alley-oops! Yes he can! Step right up! Get your posters! Best 5 Rockets on the floor: Lin-Harden-Parsons-Howard-Asik
He isn't a great low post player. As long as he is the best defender in the league and can finish around the basket he is well worth every penny. He may never develop a low post game but he is still a top 5 impact player and people need to quit nit picking his offensive abilities.
A real possibility but watch Lin and Parsons points take a big hit with Dwight getting his 20 points per. Lin may fall to under 10 points per. Even though that's the game plan and to be expected, watch the LOHs and ABJs scream, "He can't even score 10 points! He's a scrub!"
it worked for shaq. Is this real life? dwight is on the rockets! we got cash cows at every position. Harden brings in the national media and the strippers. Dwight brings in everyone and their mothers. Parsons brings in the ladies. Lin, the overseas crowd
I'm not sure how Parsons ppg will suffer when he will have more wide open threes and chances to crash the boards than ever with Dwight demanding so much attention down low.
People who don't think Lin and Parson's scoring will go down are sadly deluded. "More open 3s and opportunities created by Dwight?" You can't be serious. You realize there are a limited number of possessions in basketball, and that number will likely go down next season for us in *addition* to Dwight taking up far more of them than Asik did, right?
It's kind of pointless to compare Howard's post game with past great NBA center who played in a big-men centric times with rules favoring post play. There are only two things one needs to care about Howard. 1. Rockets point-per-possession with Howard post-ups, in comparison other half court sets(Harden PnR, Lin PnR, Harden iso, etc.). 2. The rate at which Howard can draw fouls, as that would inherently quicken the rate at which opponents get into the penalty.
The guaranteed drop in shooting possessions will be far more significant than any putative increase in efficiency. At least in theory
D12's only move in the post is dribbling hard to one side and putting up a right hook. That's it. He needs to work on an up and under move. Pump fake, then lean in for a scoop shot.
