I am not really replying to myself, just continuing this post.

I got my letter from the IRS Friday. There was no apology, just a terse statement that my tax records are "satisfactory at this time." Of course, I take that as an indirect threat that they will be watching in the future. You may read that as a bland bureaucratic fact. Time will tell, especially as lawsuits are filed. I can't say much about that now because I may try to file a criminal suit (virtually impossible, I know), a civil suit or join a class action suit. However, I am glad to feel that my freedom of speech has been restored.

I will agree if you will pay my attorney fees, past and future, for fighting the IRS regarding my "political" activities.

I don't need to pay anything, and I'm not sure of your personal situation regarding the IRS or why you would need attorneys or even to file.

If you don't know or you are not sure, then do not accuse me of paranoia. When Obama's IRS was breathing heavily upon me last October and November, my tax attorney advised me to pull in my horns from all things political, which I did. Then the truth burst forth and my free speech was unchained. Now I will do everything I can to further my vendetta against Obama's evil empire (thanks, Refman, for the Vendetta analogy).

What was the IRS accusing you of? There is no prohibition on political activity, so your tax attorney just seems weird.

This doesn't make sense. Explain what happened. Do you make over 100k? Do you take a lot of deductions?

You keep hinting at this if you're so ready to settle your vendetta why not start a thread about it and let us in on what the puppet master has done to you?

The IRS was looking at a number of people connected with tea party activities using income tax questions for harassment. Further than that, unfortunately, I am not at liberty to discuss the issues.

We also know that the IRS was looking at progressive groups that were applying for the status as well.

You can believe me, or you can believe the IRS own internal documents which included targeting progressive groups.

Or you can just ignore the solid evidence that shows this.

Which was the same for conservative groups. Sorry charlie, the boat has sailed on this one, and your boat sank, thanks to Issa and his trumped up bogus evidence.

    No, they weren't.

Sure you are. You're just choosing not to.

I've pretty much given up on this forum. It's interesting to read that judo guys posts on here, and a few others...but man, it's been like years and years of the same b.s.

Gotta say, posting in this forum isn't fun like it use to be.

I feel your pain, Lou. The board is as polarized as Democrats and Republicans, and I know I'm as guilty as the rest for making it that way. I really wish we could all have breakfast somewhere in a setting where civility would rule. It's too easy to be uncivil when cloaked in computer anonymity. The wound of a curt repartee is easier to take when the recipient can see a genuine wink and a smile.
