Don't understand the Bev hate, he isn't a typical rookie. Euroball and playoff experience, he is just as proven as Lin, If not more.

You should read Spiegel's posts. People hate him, not Bev.

What is Robert Covington? Dude is sized like a tweener who can only shoot spot up threes but can't dribble well enough to create his own shot or slash. He has shown quick hands and has good enough reach that he can grab boards at an above avg rate for a SF.

Compare him to TJones: 6'7" frame same wingspan and standing reach as the 6'9" TJones. However, Jones has impressive handles, athletic ability and seems to be a better scorer.

IMHO, Covington has no future as an undersized PF in today's NBA. Very intriguing as a D and 3 SF, though...

By the way, all this really demonstrates how good of a talent TJones is.

Covington's game is going to open up in our system while TJones is going to have to sacrifice his game for Harden and Dwight

    T. Jones isn't 6' 7" he is 6' 8.25 w/o shoes which is only a .25 inch shorter than Parsons but he has a 7' 3" wingspan which far more than Parsons...

Covington is as one dimensional as basketball players get. He has a fantastic release on his shot and you can tell by the bench's reaction every time he shoots that he's a natural gunner. But he does nothing else on the floor and is pretty useless. He won't make it.

Cooley does everything right. He's like a bigger Chuck Hayes but still has that Hayes-ian problem of being unable to finish under the rim. He'll make it.

Ware, Blue, Young, Olbrecht, Honeycutt -- no thanks.

    T. Jones, Bev -- thanks please.

    G. Smith, Anderson -- shrug.

I really wanted to get to see Isaiah play. I heard someone say they may sit him out for the rest of the summer league. But looking at these other point guards who where drafted before him... Isaiah could end up being the best of the bunch.

Yeah, Cooley looked good out there, like a guy trying to make the squad. Finished strong with 10 pts/8 reb.

2-5 from the field, 0-2 from three point range... But he did go 6-7 from the free throw line.
