The Room Mid-Level Exception is still available to sign a free agent to a contract worth up to $5.4 million over 2 years. First year salary would be $2.65M. Who is the best free agent that can be realistically signed for that amount? Anthony Morrow is the best choice, in my opinion. He's a better 3 point shooter than anybody on the roster.

I'd be fine with Morrow and Brewer, still confused about the signing of casspi since we need more shooters. We now have one in Garcia who can hit the three consistently and I'm sure a shooter would've accepted that Casspi deal.
What do you guys think about Brandan Wright? He seemed to be a gamechanger for Dallas against us. He could be useful if we trade Asik. We could use that 2-3mill exception for him. Thoughts?
I thought guys were willing to take less to play for a contender? Seems like Garcia is the only one!!
I don't think we need another point. Assuming we keep Lin and Bev. Nate is going to want sixth man minutes, especially after that season in Chicago. Brewer though, not a bad pickup. We have minutes for him to play.
It will take more than $2.6 million to get Brandan Wright. Dallas likes him, and they own his Early Birds Rights. They can re-sign him for up to $5 million per year. As for Corey Brewer: I'm not sure why people want him in Houston. Brewer is a small forward with no jump shot. He doesn't seem like a good fit for Dwight. Nate Robinson is interesting. But having Lin and Beverly and Robinson and Canaan on the same roster... that's just one too many.

Seems to me like either: a) they have a bigger deal in mind that involves moving cap space b) they want to maintain flexibility for the trade deadline or 2014 FA IMO, these are the only two reasons they wouldn't use the room exception.
Kirilenko opted out of a $10 million contract. Not saying he'll get that again but he's out of price range.
Only 2 year min deals will be given with the second year being a team option of course  And I wouldn't want it any other way.
Can we make this the official thread for free agency signing idea's, and change the name to make it that too? Please clutch or admins? 5 threads a day of different players somebody thinks we should sign is dumb.
Morrow is a minimum salary player right now. I'd take him but just the minimum. Save the Room MLE for flexibility later in the year.
