Basketball wouldn't be fun anymore if LeBron came over to the west coast. If love to have him though.

Just a stretch... Anderson Varejão? He was injured all of last year pretty much, but before that, he was dominating the boards. Straight DOMINATING the boards.

Varajao would be target #1 for me if Asik throws a fit and demands out. However, keep in mind, Cavs allegedly just offered Bynum $24 million. If Atlanta isn't stupid enough to try to get close to that money then they've likely got him.

Another possibility....Varajao somewhat fits my contract analysis almost as well as Granger and Deng. I'd really like to get him if it would only cost us Jeremy. We don't NEED him per se with Asik backing up Dwight. But he does give us the flexibility to move Asik for a high quality player OR draft pick that could be very useful in a straight out trade, a sign-and-trade or in helping to move out Varajao if needed to create cap space to chase a max free agent.

Hou IN: Green + Lee + 2nd or 1st rounder
Hou out: Asik + Lin + Donuts

Bos In: Asik + Lin + Donuts
Bos Out: Geen + lee + 2nd rounder or 1st rounder

it works and then they can trade Rondo during trade deadline and come up with a lottery pick and start rebuilding or tank for 2014 FA.

    Jeremy Lin

    for

    Luc something something Moute

Bucks save themselves from having to overpay Jennings, while relieving their glut of big men and the Rockets add a much needed versatile and lock down defender who doesn't need many shots.

    Beverley / Cannan
    Harden / Garcia
    Parsons / Casspi
    Moute / Jones / Dmo
    Howard / Asik / Smith

I thought about this trade at lunch, so let me know what you guys think. Sure, we could add a player as a filler or a draft pick to satisfy all needs of every team.

    Houston Receives: L. Aldridge

Miami Receives: J. Lin, O. Asik

    Portland Receives: C. Bosh

    Trade is successful: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=n4hm4nj

Why would MIA pay $5 mil for Lin when they have Chalmers?

Good point. Maybe they could trade Cole for a Second Rd. pick to some other team so he could play more, or send Cole to Houston perhaps

Also couldn't we just trade with Miami straight up and take Bosh instead of LMA? Being that LMA is massively overrated and Bosh is a better all around player...

Can't help but think Lin and Asik would only be fit for the more-profitable teams, i.e., teams that wouldn't s*** at having to pay each $15,000,000 in 2014-15.

    And there are damned few.

    Lakers.

    Knicks.

    Nets.

    Blazers. (Paul Allen).

    Wizards.

    Rocket Boy BILLY INGRAM!

Apparently there is a rumor floating around that Houston is talking to Boston about Rondo. Dwight's camp is adamantly against that. Unlikely

IMO, Jones starts with w/ D-Mo off the bench. They are both ready and just need some time --> Howard makes everyone better...

We are set no need for another trade. Asik will yield more as the season unfolds or Howard back / shoulder acts up.

    Houston out: asik, t.jones
    Houston in: Deng

    Chicago out: Deng, Noah
    Chicago in: Aldridge, asik

    Portland out: Aldridge
    Portland in: Noah, t.jones

Throw around picks to whichever teams you feel needs it.

    Lin
    Harden
    Deng
    Parsons
    Dwight

That's a legit starting 5 to me. And much more likely than us landing Aldridge.
