you left rondo out of the starting line up though lol

I think boston would do it...because Rondo is gone. He will whine and kill his trade value. lin has upside, marketing ability. They love asik...from what i have read. And 2014 draft picks are diamonds right now. Add terrance jones to the mix and I think we can get that done.

I am more worried about the Harden/Rondo fit being worse then the lin/harden fit.

and would that trade over all be better for us over say asik for anderson swap ...

which I id better a good amount that we can have that deal anytime we want it.

Asiks value and contract are way more valuable then andersons.

Rondo may be the single worst PG fit with Harden in the NBA.

I think Aldridge has already been open to Chicago. I think he'd stay in Chicago if they could put together a package for him that didn't include Noah.

You think Houston is the only team that those guys would be traded to and stay with?

But really who those guys would actually stay with is has no bearing on whether or not those teams would be willing to take that chance.

Celtics aren't giving you Jeff Green and Rondo for Omer and Lin.

You guys should lower your expected return unless you are looking to move Parsons as well.

Harden for a far superior playmaker like Rondo will play off the ball more. Rondo might be the second best playmaker behind Paul in the league.

Yes, and what does Chicago have to offer once you remove Noah and Rose from the equation?

Quick question: is it still possible to bring in Furkan Aldemir as our backup C in case we don't get one back in a trade?

Asik has a much higher value then you think ...lin too. But I agree straight up that doesnt happen.

I do feel the 2014 pick and Jones would put this deal on the table...I dont really care what you think if you say no chance to to all that ...id bet pretty heavily on that one.

point guards are flush in the nba right now...Centers are not...plus the 2014 draft is gold right now.

Also Rondo is probably a few weeks away from demanding a trade and killing his value.

I agree actually...but his defense, rebounding, and playmaking skills would probably still be and upgrade to lin at this point.

We could always send rondo to another team and have them throw in more assets for boston and get back a better fit PG...but that scenario is too much work for me to want speculate on.

Lin has very little value to most teams because of what you said. Point guards are flush in the NBA. If Lin was a superstar he'd be valuable. He's not. Not many teams are going to consider him a net positive in a trade when it's easy to find average point guards right now for less than what he makes.

Rondo will never be a rocket, that much is certain, but I don't think Rondo is against the idea of sitting out as long as possible while his team stinks it up. It's pretty rare for someone to demand a trade when they might not even play the following year. Getting 18 months+ to recover from the ACL is actually ideal tbh.

Jimmy Butler, Deng, Boozer, Gibson, Picks...Maybe Nate Robinson..

But there are other teams with young assets to offer...

Golden State could probably put together a package for him...

Pacers could probably put together a good package for Love or Aldridge...

I know we have a Rockets centric view of things, but step back and look at stuff objectively. Morey, I think, is a better GM than most in the league, but lets not discount other teams' ability to get things done.

I dont agree with that...I mean I could be wrong, but I just dont agree. This board is filled with people hating on lin so our view points are skewed.

Morey talked about lins progression, and advanced stats. Said for a first year he had a GREAT year. Not ok...not decent...but great.

I have also paid attention to many more knowledgeable national analyst that think that he has the skills to be a great pg. I think talent wise half the league would be interested in him...and then you add in the marketing advantes certain teams would need and love to have that aspect. Sam Amik was talking just yesterday that Lin is a great talent and valued around the league.

He is a star player even he doesnt preform like one...that matters.
