If there ever was a chance of us finally getting new uni's and put a end to New Uniform threads it is the signing of Howard and his connection to Adidas. With Adidas being the brand behind the NBA and Howard being one of Adidas top stars we might get a bump towards new uni's. Adidas will surely reach out to the Rockets to create new uni's for the Rockets/Howard that can be marketed to create something new for the Rockets, and create a new money making machine for Adidas. It is a conflict of interest, but businesses want to make money, and with great market research Adidas will be able to show the Rockets what look and colors would play best on the worlds stage benefiting both organizations.

Don't expect it anytime soon. They'll allow everyone time to purchase the current iteration of the jersey before putting a new concept out there.

So many people crapping on Dwight right now. He made the best basketball decision. All this crap about him being done and past his prime is irrelevant. He played hurt last year and STILL was the best C in the league. Granted, the league is weak at that position. But it is what it is. Bring the hate. Rockets are used to being underrated and counted out. This team needs to come out and play with a chip on it's shoulder.

Age of the big man is done. Too many people idolize Lebron/Durant. Big guys who control the ball on the perimeter.

I really hope the Rockets don't trade Asik. He was my favorite player last season.

With that said, Les needs to erect Morey's statue next to Hakeem's jersey. Everything worked out to perfection.

I am using this heavy traffic thread for my question. How does one get searching rights, along with editing rights. I have contributed financially to this site, 20 bucks I know, thats what I did. Is there a certain reputation you need to get?

It takes some time after contributing to get your "contributing member" status. Once you get that, then you can use the search and edit functions.

It's incredible that we got Dwight Howard. He is the most dangerous center in the NBA. Glad Dwight Howard rep the people in Houston and I am sure he will love it here as time progress. He may have already know what Houston is like because he went to Hakeem's training camp and it might hinted he love here. Same true for a lot of retired players who played for Rockets. Most lived here as their home.

I really hope they hang onto Asik too. I mean can you imagine the possibilities with him on the team? They have the players to stretch the floor around Dwight. Asik can give Dwight an excellent backup, and when teams try to go big on this team, they can pair Asik and Dwight together and have the best defensive front court in the league.

With that being said, I respect the hell out of Asik, so if he really isn't down with playing backup to Dwight, I think the Rockets should respect his wishes.

Every since Friday, am I the only one who visits Clutchfans at least once a day just to make sure we really landed Dwight Howard? I still cannot believe he left LA for our beloved RedNation. Someone pinch me!

I know Steven A Smith is full of it, but in that new piece on where the Rockets are in the West I wholeheartedly agree we NEED to keep Asik. There's a ton of reasons why we should keep him, because when Dwight goes out, you can't rely on anybody to pick up the slack but Asik. We would have 48mins of rim protection and in some cases when you need a rebound, put both in! Let Dwight guard the PF and come off the weak side for blocks. Without Asik, we are definitely a lot worse than we would be with him.

Dwight getting in early foul trouble doesn't really bother me too much except against about 5 or 6 teams either
