    Omer Asik for Ryan Anderson.

    Sign FA Corey Brewer.

Sign Jermaine O'neal or Marcus Camby when available.

    PG - Lin/Beverley/Canaan
    SG - Harden/Brewer/
    SF - Parsons/Garcia/Casspi
    PF - Anderson/Jones/Motiejunas
    C - Howard/O'neal or Camby/Smith

AK-47 most likely isn't going to accept a 2-yr deal. He's looking for his last deal before he hits 36.

The idea of trading Lin to a 3rd team like Boston or Milwaukee or Detroit for nothing and then sending TJones or possibly even our non-guaranteeds to Indy for Granger is the deal. You give Indy the TPE or the cap space, whichever one they want to us, to sign AK-47, or to trade for a player on a cheaper deal than Granger.

Yes. Agreed. This seems like the most logical/likely series of events. Brewer hopefully can be signed to a 2 year deal using the room exception. It is a little less than what he might want, but being on a title contender should appeal to him. O'Neal or Camby will probably take minimum to contend, hopefully they pick us.

As for Lin, I say give him a chance with the new team, and if Morey doesn't like the fit he can trade him to Orlando for either Al Harrington or Jameer Nelson for depth.

Hypothetically The Heat have a sub-par year, out in the second round by Brooklyn. With Wade getting older and Bosh not being much of a third star Lebron opts out of his deal and tests open market in 2014. Likes the idea of joining the Rockets who hypothetically lost in the WCF to the Spurs. Demands a SnT to Houston.

Parsons, Asik, Lin and fillers to make salary work go to Miami

    Lebron goes to Houston

    Cannan/Bev
    Harden/Garcia
    Lebron/Casspi
    TJones/Dmo
    Howard/Smith

Give out vet min to three point shooters and defensive bigs

Unlikely but anything can happen if Lebron wants to continue winning Championships.

Pekovic just got offered 48 mil. Wish there was a way to get KLove, Ridnour, for Asik and Lin, 1st round picks, hell 3rd team anything! Could get a cheaper center in Asik. Pipe dream

if asik begins to get more restless, i would trade asik for nene or emeka okafor

emeka okafor is pretty consistent; let's bring back the hometown prodigal son.

dude's numbers over the past few years have been solid; 10 and 9 guy, and i think he would be a solid backup to dwight...

let tjones/greg smith start at the 4.

Pick up Ronaldo Artesticles, win a championship, and have him rap about it. Key to success.

HOU In: Jose Berea, Kevin Love

    GSW In: Asik, Beverley

MIN In: Harrison Barnes, Bogut, DMo or TJones, 2014 & 2016 1st from HOU, 2 2nds from HOU

    This only works if:

    A) Pekovic leaves for Portland
    B) Minny tanks
    C) Love demands a trade
    D) DMo or TJones take a big step forward before the trade deadline.

Not necessarily at trade but, does anyone think that we can grab Dirk from Free Agency next year? He could pull a Ray Allen and join us next year. Sounds a bit far fetched but who knows?

    1. Dirk is in the twilight of his career.
    2. Last ditch effort to get another ring to cement his legacy.
    3. Fills in the hole at the PF position.

Another guy I was thinking of in the same mold is Gasol. Both could come ring chase with us for a cheap price?

I think teams are going to quit trading with Morey when they realize that it will never be to their advantage, unless it's a player with an expiring contact who refuses to re-sign with the team.

Whoops I didn't mean Both but that will be awesome if it happened!

Gasol or Dirk here on a partial MLE would be great for us!

For this year, a guy I was thinking that we could possibly pick up for cheap that could contribute is Elton Brand. He can mentor our young 4's in games and can contribute 10 mins or so every night for cheap. No?

I am getting the feeling that the Chicago Bulls may be a trade partner for the Rockets.

The Bulls look like a team that's going to make one or more major changes.

Financially, they are roughly $7.5M above the projected luxury tax line. Their salary is high enough that even amnestying Boozer won't get them meaningful cap room this season. They also paid the luxury tax last season, so staying above the tax will put the team at further risk of being subjected to the repeater tax. The Bulls ownership never paid the tax until last season, so they probably have some pressure on that end.

They are also above the tax line on a talented but flawed roster. In particular, the team just cannot score without Derrick Rose. 2011-12, CHI was ranked 5th in offensive efficiency with Rose playing. 2012-13, CHI was ranked 23rd with Rose out. Rose's camp (his brother Reggie, in particular) has been grumbling about the roster, too.

    Something's gotta give here.

Wojnarowski reported that the Bulls have interest in reuniting with Omer Asik. There was also earlier reports that the Bulls were interested in LaMarcus Aldridge but didn't want to give up a combo of Noah and Butler for him. So, I wonder perhaps the Bulls would trade for Asik in anticipation of, or in combination with some sort of Noah-for-Aldridge trade.

Also, Houston can use the "150% salary" allowance to take back substantially more money from Chicago than they give out, thus providing some tax relief to the Bulls.
