HOU TRADES: Omer Asik, Donatas Motiejunas, 2015 1st round pick
    MIL TRADES: Ersan Ilyasova
GSW TRADES: Festus Ezili, 2014 2nd round pick

HOU Recieves: Ersan Ilyasova, Festus Ezili, 2014 2nd round pick
MIL Recieves: Omer Asik and 2015 First Round Pick
    GSW Recieves: Donatas Motiejunas

This works for HOU because we can get the stretch 4 we need in Ilyasova and a decent backup in Festus Ezili.

This is ideal for MIL because they can get Asik and slide Sanders to the 4 to have a great rebounding core to build around.

This works great for GSW because with the MLE they can give half to sign a back up PG and half to sign Dalembert. Then they have an ideal backup for David Lee in Donatas.

THIS WORKS FOR ALL 3 TEAMS!

Daryl, if you see this. Call up Milwaukee and Golden State and orchistrate this deal now.

I don't think that there will be any more trades until the dead line but why not,

Houston trades- Lin, Asik, T Jones, two future firsts and one future second
    Dallas trades- Dirk and Marion
New Orleans trades- Anderson, Rivers, future second

Houston gets- Dirk and New Orleans pick
Dallas gets- Lin, Anderson, Rivers and all of Houston's picks
New Orleans gets- Marion, Asik, T Jones

Idk why New Orleans does this or if it would even work but oh well we should try to get Dirk

dirk will probably retire a Mav unless Cuban just says to he'll with it and starts to rebuild. even the he would just be on the roster at a more economical contract.

I don't think even Dirk is willing to stick around for a rebuilding team when he can have a chance to contend in the twilight of his career instead. If Cuban is smart (and unfortunate he is) he will do the right thing and send Dirk to a contender for as many young players and assets as possible.

Clippers already traded Bledsoe to the Suns: http://watch.nba.com/nba/video/channels/nba_tv/2013/07/03/20130702-gametime-proposed-trade.nba

Cuban's probably still too salty about missing out on Dwight, plus the whole divisional rival thing.

Anyway, as great of a fit as Dirk would be on offense, he's 35 and he's an even worse defender now than he was in his peak years. Not a huge fan of the idea.

Nope. I would not do it. I like Granger but I hate the overhyped Jordan. Plus, I value 48 minutes of consitently great defense over what Granger brings. Not to mention, we would be loosing Lin, DMo and TJones also? Thats crazy.

    Who would play the 4?

i really dont think gringer is big enough to guard the 4. he can really spread the floor on the offense tho

I've been touting that swap for months! No one is listening or buying it appears. Cousings gives you a 4 who can hit the jumper and score inside. He's also 23 and can play the 5 when Howard goes to the bench.

    Cousins is not a 4. He is a 5.

He can play both. He has in the past. He has the ability to put the ball on the floor and hit the elbow jumper.

I think against stretch 4's Parsons could guard them just fine with Granger at the 3. Against big 4's who like to bang in the paint, you'd put in DeAndre Jordan and run a twin towers lineup. He has enough quickness for that.

Anyway, that particular idea is sunk though since Bledsoe is already traded.

The NBA game is evolving and we are seeing a lot of "combo-forwards" (small forwards playing PF position). And with a goalie like Howard...it is even easier.

I expect Parsons to play a decent amount of the 4 spot. Just like Delfino did last year.

If the Rockets got Granger (6'9") or Deng (6'8") they could do the same.

The Warriors got good minutes out of Harrison Barnes at the PF spot. Obviously the same for the Thunder when Durant played there. Leonard with Spurs, same for Lebron at PF.

Not the same NBA from ages ago with a C and a bruiser PF. Much more wide open game. One Big, one PG and a slew of swingmen.
