    Job Search Tip of the Day, July 8, 2013

    Limit your use of abbreviations in job search correspondence, particularly in email messages. Especially avoid BTW, LOL, and all other abbreviations prevalent in text messages.

    BTW and LOL are not abbreviations, they're acronyms. :eek:

    But, yes, they should avoid acronyms that aren't widely known in the professional world. For example, everyone knows what PHP and HTML are, but they might know what SIS means. :cool:
