LOL at all the people upset and outraged at the idea that Asik asked for a trade. Wasnt it just a few days ago more than a few were claiming how smart and prudent it was the Rockets were looking to trade Asik along with White and Lin. Instead of the outrage at the rockets for being disloyal or even for the reports as being suspect, most Rocket fans including Clutch thought not was it true, but the obvious move.

But now when Asik may have asked for a trade, from a team that was looking to trade him, all of a sudden he is the bad guy. LOL GARM

Yeah, they have plenty of scoring, they don't need a 3pt shooting PF like they need a defensive center.

We don't have the capspace for that even if we traded Lin and Omer

Most people already think it wont. There is to much interest for him for teams to start low balling Morey. They may start that way, but Motey knows he can use teams against each other to raise offers.

Which is why any trade to bolster the PF spot must include Asik. Using Jeremy Lin as a trade chip will not get us a good PF in return.

You already said that Lin is a "dime a dozen" type point guard. Well, if you trade him for a PF, you're gonna receive a "dime a dozen" type power forward.

Some of you guys seriously overestimate Asik's value. Especially when it's OBVIOUS that Morey HAS TO trade him

You're implying that Asik holds out if we don't trade him? Source?

He doesn't have to trade him. What is your rationale in thinking that?

We could, but it is still highly unlikely.

    16.3 x 1.5 = up to $24.7 million. Dirk makes 22.7.

    Thanks.

It's not a question of holding out. Rox don't have a starting PF right now. And two starting Cs who both clog the paint on both ends of the floor. Other teams realize this. They're not giving you all stars for Asik lol

He's one of the better centers in the league and averaged a double double. How is his value being overestimated when starting calibre centers in this league are scarce.

Ha, what the hell is a "Formal Request" for a trade? Is it in the CBA or do you just take a selfie in a tux ?

Asik will play here and play hard... unless Murry trades him. He has 8 million reasons.
He's a great player and from what we know, a great teammate... he'll be fine,

Well Lin and Asik would be $16.75 together, but when sending that much out in salary, you only get to add $5M, not 150%, so it actually wouldn't work if it was just them for Dirk.

Obviously Dallas would never do it anyway.

Tux. Definitely, tux with how much NBA players make. Asik walked in Morey's office in a black and white tuxedo, a monocle , and white gloves. He told Morey, "I request trade" then walked out.

First you go to "Meet with GM", then you choose the "I would like to request to be traded" option.

I am now reporting Chris Broussard is waffling.

    His story is total BS.
