Hope he will get mature before its too late, as his greatness so far depends on his super physical prowess

Kobe is just to cocky. In reality base on the past big man that he played with, Kobe never really had a great relationship with any great center that he played with, period!

    G. Smith and D12 best 1,2 punch on the floor

With Greg Smith just turn 22 and 2nd year in the league, I really think that he will compliment D12 a lot this year. Greg Smith had played an average of 12-15 min playing time with 6pts, almost 5 rpg and almost 1 blk shot. If only he will have more opportunity to play this year, I really think his got potential to shine at the PF position.

Lol. I've been thinking the same thing. It isn't easier being a leader, and it probably isn't natural to Howard. Maybe now he understands what it takes. He doesn't have to abandon his outlook on life, but he's now seen and been in situations that were bad (both due to teammates, and due to his own actions). He obviously learned from his previous PR errors. Maybe he'll learn from his LA antics as well.

Remember Hakeem as a younger player?

I still worry about his playoff +/-. It was so bad that we couldn't play him at all.

    Hopefully he'll continue to improve.

Watch the game 4 highlights of OKC.. He's def still developing his teammate skills. A lot of isos and no effort on D.

One more thing about amatuer pyschology.

Some guys as they age, go gracefully and allow others to assume the leadership mantle, Kobe is not that guy, he will fight it tooth and nail and the Lakers will suffer until he is done, IMO.

If he would move aside and let others be featured and be more of a complimentary player it would be better for the team, but Kobe has never been about the team, he has always been about himself, IMO.

I expect big things from Dwight.

What's funny is that Kobe has been coddled as much as any NBA player in history. You think his standoffish attitude would be tolerated for one second if he wasn't a superstar? Hell no. If he was some borderline all-star throwing his teammates under the bus, his ass would have been traded a long time ago. His b****fit antics began before he even played a single minute of ball, when he threatened to play in Europe if anyone but the Lakers drafted him. That's Royce-esque.

To be fair, kobe knows how to win but not how to be a person... Harden knows how to be a better person, but to necessarily all it takes to win. Together with Howard, I'm sure they'll figured it out by next season.

Dwight sounds like a blonde highschool cheerleader. He better work in his free throws.

McHale is going to be tough on Howard. He will challenge him to become a much better player. No unconditional love in Houston.

U could say the same about Jordan and pippen, pj. He knows how to win. It's not really a debate. He is an a hole though.

You can bank on the fact it was CUBAN that played that "Harden is selfish card." Remember those Chris Broussard reports that "DALLAS" was in the lead because Howard could be the "face of the franchise" and not have to play with a ball dominant guard like Harden?

CUBAN breaks up a championship winning team for TWO YEARS IN A ROW of striking out in Free Agency.

    CUBAN, suck it!

So glad Dwight didnt fall for all that BS. He has really grown, and I have a feeling he will be Orlando Dwight this upcoming season.
