1992-1996 Orlando magic where he was the man 0 rings. 2000-2002 Lakers 3 rings with Kobe, 2006 Heat 1 ring with Wade. As great as he was he didn't exactly carry a franchise by himself. But when if comes to Dwight, oh no..., you have to carry a team that is old, hurt, play for a coach that doesn't fit, and trust an owner who makes bad decisions.(Mitch is a solid GM but he is no Jerry West)

No, he was the reason those Lakers won the rings.. He was the most dominate player during those years...

I love how Shaq makes that statement while on the road promoting a terrible movie with a bunch of other "has beens". Shaq's statement literally might be the most interesting thing associated with that movie....but more than likely it's just another attention w**** move.

The REAL reason why Dwight & Shaq have never got along is because they are the same type of attention seeking person so when one big guy gets the attention, the other is jealous.

...lastly, don't forget Shaq willingly left for Miami and never exactly jumped at the chance to come back later in his career. He DID however try to align himself with the hottest players in the league after he left LA(Nash, and then Lebron) so who really made a career of playing it "safe"?

Yeah well if Shaq doesn't get offed by TnT it's going to be awkward when they're in town to cover playoff games and Shaq is constantly getting drowned out by the boos.

shaq knows dwight is not on his level as a individual player and will never match his legacy and always has to bring it up to prop him up. we get shaq. let it go.

Shaq= overrated and unintelligent. Exploited his huge body to bully opposition in the paint and somehow was allowed to get away with it.

Would not have gotten a fraction of those rings without Kobe.

    There, I said it.

Shaq wouldn't be Shaq if he weren't taking shots at Howard. Plus, it's not surprising to see him sticking up for Lakernation.

These jokers go way over board with this bright light crap. Come on dude, it is clear to everyone that Kobe and Howard didnt get alone. If anybody knows how Kobe gets down, it should be Shaq. Kobe ran his a** smooth the Freak-a -ziod out of LA. He took that sh** very personal..Oh how we quickly forget stuff like that. LOL

Coulda been 5 if Dream didn't turn into nightmares for him... If this "town" is big enough for Dream, it's big enough for anyone.

If Shaq thinks Houston is a little town with 2 million people, then Shaq must have needed to retreat to an even tinier town called Miami with only a fifth of the population of Houston. His comments about not being able to handle the bright lights of a big city say more about his own reasons for leaving L.A. than they do about DH.

The ol' chicken or the egg debate.

Shaq wasn't a surgeon, and he didn't need to be. He wasn't able to win a ring without the help of another great player just like Kobe, Wade, Lebron, Jordan, etc, weren't able to do it alone.

That said, he's just plain wrong. The national media is collectively venting their west coast bias. If he had stayed in LA, the national media would faun over him for making "the tough choice" and sticking it out in a ****ty situation because in the past people who aren't him won championships with a coach & owner who are no longer involved with the franchise.

He chose Houston in despite a storm of national media animosity he knew would come in it's wake.
