Tank mode, really? With Kobe, Nash, Gasol, Artest? I doubt it.

    I'll say

    1. OkC
    2. Rox
    3. Spurs
    4. Clipps
    5. GS
    6. Memphis
    7. LAL
    8. Dallas/Portland/Minnesota

    Seedings:
    1. Thunder. Only injury will stop them from the #1 seed, especially if Ron Adams returns
    2. Clippers. They should be good from start to finish

    3. Spurs. Another great regular season record
    4. Rockets. Will stumble at times figuring things out but should finish strong
    5. Warriors. Iggy gives them a perimeter defender and backup PG

    6. Grizzlies. They will miss Lionel Hollins and be worse than last season. They could collapse late in the season

    Guaranteed lotto:
Lakers. Only ONE salary guaranteed for the 2014/15 season. They will become an expansion team. Has this happened before?
Kings. Nobody cares. Should have moved to Seattle
Jazz. Tank City and proud of it
Suns. Bledsoe will put up numbers. Wiggins or bust!

    No Man's Land:
T-Wolves. If healthy, will probably make playoffs
Hornets. Season hinges on Anthony Davis going to another level
    Mavs. Trash
Blazers. LMA could be traded mid-season or sooner
Nuggets. Have collapsed. Let's see what Brian Shaw is made of

    Thunder
    Spurs
    Rockets
    Clippers
    Grizzlies
    Warriors
    Mavs (after they get Bynum)
    Lakers

Nuggets are going to be close. Wolves will spend another year in the lottery.

What the heck are those eastern conf teams thinking? West is just getting stronger and stronger and yet you hardly see a move from those ECF teams.

I am just sick of seeing LeBron and the Miami team sleep walking their way to the Finals and yet WCF teams have to fight to death just get there.

Really tough to tell before we see what other moves are made...

    For now though:

    1-OKC
    2-Hou
    3-GSW
    4-LAC
    5-SA
    6-Mem
    7-Den
    8-NO

I really have no idea... Lol

Yeah, but we still have inexperienced PFs. They need to step up defensively and help crash the boards. Let's hope we can get away with playing Asik and Howard together for around 15 minutes per game.

    Thunder
    Spurs
    Clippers
    Warriors
    Rockets
    Grizzlies
    Blazers
    Wolves
    ---
    Lakers
    Nuggets
    Mavs
    Pelicans
    Kings
    Suns
    Jazz

Except Kobe will be out the bulk of the season and may never return to form. Who knows. One of either Gasol or Artest will probably be amnestied. And Nash is 39 years old. And one of their only decent young players, Earl Clark, just bolted too.

    My standings:

    1. OKC
    2. Spurs
    3. Clippers
    4. Houston
    5. Memphis
    6. Golden State
    7. Denver
    8. Dallas

It's amazing to me that Denver and Dallas can still be in it. Denver has lost their coach, their GM and their veteran leader. And Dallas has pretty much let everybody walk for cap room.

But who else? Utah let both of their veteran bigs go. They're letting Mo Williams go and they're playing the rookie Trey Burke. They should win a lot less games. Minnesota may not bring back either Pekovic or AK47 and they were a far cry from making the playoffs last season anyway. Portland may be better. Maybe they could squeak into the playoffs? They only won 33 games this past season though. Ouch. I think New Orleans has probably improved, but they only won 25 games last season. Have they really improved enough to win 20+ more games this year? I doubt it. Sacramento is going to suck and Phoenix is going to suck.

It's kind of amazing how in the Western Conference you're either really good or really bad now.
