I'm not oppose to Anderson. He's a legitimate stretch 4 and which ever power forward they keep will still be able to develop behind him. And I'm thinking it will be TJ because he would be the better defender over Anderson.

Oh man. If you thought the YOFS were bad, we're going to get flooded by all 7 million OOFs. ;)

In all seriousness though, I hope he can play like he did in Sacramento here. He had a good rookie season, and then fell off.

To the guy who said he couldn't rebound, you are an idiot. The guy had a 22.7 defensive rebounding % last year. That would be the 3rd highest on the team right now after Dwight and Asik.

He certainly brings a NBA body to the bench and the ability to do something at a high level.

Just looking at Omri's "highlights" and stats, it looks like he's a Chandler Parsons who got drafted into a ****ty position and never had any chance to develop properly.

Free agent Omri Casspi, the first Israeli-born player ever selected in the first round of the NBA draft, has agreed to a two-year deal with the Houston Rockets, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Casspi's two-year, $2.6 million deal will include a team option in 2014-15, a league source said.

Casspi, 25, played an increasingly diminished role with the Cavaliers the past two seasons. The Rockets had long been interested in signing Casspi and became even more interested in his shooting touch with the Dwight Howard finalizes deal to join Rockets commitment of free-agent center Dwight Howard.

Casspi averaged a career-best 10.3 points in his rookie season with Sacramento in 2009-10.

    Thought this was pretty silly.

    CHN's Six-Star Ranking System w/ 2008 Equivalents

    6 stars = Superstar/All-NBA Potential - Michael Beasley

    5 stars= Potential NBA All-Star - Derrick Rose

4 stars= Consistent NBA Starter - Brook Lopez

    3 stars= 6th Man/Fringe Starter - Russell Westbrook

    2 stars= Career Reserve - Roy Hibbert

    1 star= Fringe NBA Player/12th Man - JR Giddens

Omri Cassipi got two stars from this website. Otherwise, he seems to be a poor man's Ryan Anderson.

0 stars = Life in the Minor Leagues - Drew Neitzel

People only hated morey at that time and any move he made that didnt get the rockets a star. Most knew delfino could shoot, but his defense was questioned by some. If I have not watched a players defense closely, then I base it on their ability to get steals on the perimeter and blocks inside. I knew he was decent judging by that category.

I like him too in the short term(going for it all in 2013/14), but I feel that in the long run you would want your 4 to be able to give Dwight better help on the boards & on defense. Anderson hurts you at that end.

I think Jones & D-Mo have a big piece of the future of this Rockets team on their shoulders if they are up to the challenge. Any major improvement you can get from these two guys will make a HUGE difference, and could eliminate the need for trading Asik for a player like Anderson.

This is basically a guy who could still improve some, shooting wise. He's mostly hovered around 68% FT shooting, but had an off year last season. Similar trend with his 3pt shooting. Two years of 35% + and then slipped.

It's not unrealistic to think some work, and playing with all stars, can get him to 70% FT and at least ~36% 3pt shooting. His first two years of solid basketball were over almost 150 games. His last two years are just over 100 games.

For the vet min? No brainer.

People were reacting just like this when we signed Delfino. So I won't pass judgment on him until he plays.

So we're complaining that we're paying Garcia and Casspi $2.6 million per year combined for the next 2 years? These are really solid pickups

I like this signing no risk high reward type signing.

I still think we could use Brewer.

The playoffs last season revealed how critical it is to have shooting depth.

With teams packing the paint more than ever on D, if you can't shoot, you can't be on the floor.

But shooters can go cold at any moment. When Battier went cold, Miller was available, and vice versa. You need to be able to plug in whomever has the hot hand.
