The Rockets have the Room exception available for use.

It is slated to be 2.652 million dollars.

Who can we get and who should we get?

    Cory Brewer
    Carl Landry
    Jarret Jack
    Anthony Morrow
    Zaza
    Nate Robinson
    Daniel Gibson
    Marresse Speights
    Will Bynum
    Chris Anderson
    Nick Young
    JJ HIckson
    Leandro Barbosa

    Are all still out there.

If we end up trading Asik, we should look at bringing back Dalembert

Morrow would be a good pickup. Guy can knock it down from the outside.

I'd like to see the Rockets get Daniel Gibson.

I'm all about JJ Hickson. He is going to cost more than that I would think though.

I would salary dump Asik for future draft picks, then give Hickson a 5-6 million per year deal (which is what I think it will take to get him).

I mentioned this in another thread (Random trades) but Hickson was as much of a double double machine last year as Asik was -- and he did that playing at the 5, which is not his natural position. The guy is solid at post defense, has a a little of a post game, and has a sweet mid range jump shot. .

    Perfect player for this team.

I would keep Asik over Hickson, because Asik is good is Hickson is not.

I'd like to see Brewer and Jack brought in, but also like Gibson's D / J....

The Omri Casspi news may have just killed this thread, but...

I'd go for Corey Brewer (wing defense and transition offense) or Anthony Morrow (falling stock right now but can still shoot it).

Seriously doubt Casspi got the room exception. Brewer for the room exception makes sense but then unless we do the twin towers thing we will need to trade for a PF.

Would be a nice combo guard addition who can play the point and backup Harden. He's not going to create his own offense, but if he can play off Harden like he played off Lebron in CLE, this is a good pickup.

Not a lot of quality wing players out there anymore.

Dunleavy would have been awesome. Not a huge fan of Brewer. Morrow is too one-dimensional for my liking. None of these other guys excite me really, either.

I fully expect Asik to get traded some time before the season, so I'd take a hard look at some of the centers for (part of) the room MLE. Dalembert, Birdman, Zaza, J'O'Neal, Mozgov.

Toney Douglas would be solid depth for the minimum.

One guy I still really like and would consider trading for is coachbadlee's illegitimate son Jeff Taylor. Danny Green type 3&D player. His stats don't look super impressive, but he defends, has shown flashes on offense and the Bobcats were +211 with him on the court last year, which I'm pretty sure is insanely good for a role player.

I like Gibson, if he slides to the 2 or Lin gets traded.

Garcia, Casspi are nice. Gibson doesn't do anything for me. Never really was a fan of his, but I know he can shoot. I'd rather let Canaan play.

The deal is the same as Garcia's but Casspi's 2nd year is a Team option rather than a player option.... Both took Vet Minimums, so our ROOM EXCEPTION is still intact.... C. Brewer anyone?

That would solidify this team, if we choose not to trade Asik and Lin.

    What do you guys think?!
