Aldemir is 6'10 240. So he's about Greg Smith's size. They both excel in rebounding and both of their offense revolves around being around the rim. Stat analyists love him, so I'm thinking he's a good player. Too bad we had to give him up instead of that guy we got from Portland that plays for Real Madrid (not Llull).
I wouldn't get too excited about the pick. More than likely in this case its just a formality to get the trade done. I'd assume there are heavy restrictions on like the pick the Rockets received in the David Andersen trade that was essentially a salary dump.
1.We get to not talk about him anymore 2. Not deal with his twitter rants. 3. Not have him eat up cap space this year.
Well , he did have to attach a couple assets to Royce to ship him out .... But as much as I'd like FurkanA on the roster , just to hear the announcers call his name .... His game doesn't fit the needs of the team going forward. Small price to pay for moving out the headache that was @HighwayBangbus.
In return? We paid Philly to take him...in the form of Furkan. We got back a late 2nd round pick I think.
Just waking up from my night of celebration. Didn't even know this went down. I can't find any news anywhere regarding what we got in return. What the hell did we get?
We gave up Aldemir for them to take Royce. They did give us "future considerations", but that's probably something we're never likely to get. Such as: 2017 2nd round pick, top 55 protected. If we don't get the pick, the obligation will be extinguished.
So basically i give you a buck with a smudge of poop on it and maybe some years later you give me a quarter?
I think you're giving Royce a little too much value, a quarter is probably too much. I'd say closer to a peso.
