I think he's been informed that he's being shopped out of courtesy. I don't believe they'll be able to move him though. Hopefully he won't gripe over it if he stays like Kevin Martin did. come on Lin regardless if your coming to the Rockets or not you should be congratulating Howard unless hes packing to go elsewhere right now.
You guys do know there are other communication devices that exist beyond twitter right? If he doesn't post, so what? Maybe he ain't got the time or trying to stay out of the limelight.
The best thing for Lin to do is to keep his mouth shut and continue to improve his game in the off-season. Let this drama on lifetime channel play itself out.
maybe Jeremy Lin is close with Asik and he doesnt want to be seen as someone who's just making him an after thought. Could be a million reasons.
Here is my take on Lin's silence... I think the whole team was instructed by the FO to shut up for the next few weeks until Dwight has signed the dotted line. Because any peep from them might be blown up by the media and affect dwight decision. I believe they will start to twit again after Dwight signs the dotted line...
Lin's contract sticks out like a sore thumb right now. He's the only player on the Rockets who's not underpaid. So the fact that he hasn't tweeted anything and might be traded doesn't surprise me in the least. Would probably be for someone on a favorable contract, or a star PF/PG.
We don't need a starting PG back if we trade Lin. Beverley is ready. Dude shot 38% from 3 last year coming into the league cold in half-a-season. With all the space Dwight is going to give him....look out. He's ready to start. All we need is a safety valve at PG...a vet backup that can come in and pick up the ball if Bev gets hurt or slumps. We can probably get that for the minimum. (Pookie?)
I'm very high on Teague and he's rumored to be frustrated with ATL because they won't talk contract extension...kinda like Morey did with Lowry Teague's got decent size for a PG (6'2"), he's 25, he's improved every year, solid on defense. Last year he averaged 1.5 steals, 15 pts, 7 assists. He needs to improve his 3pt shooting (but not terrible at 36%) and he needs to reduce his TOs, but this kid is on his way to being a very good PG in this league. I'm sure the Hawks know that so it's likely to be very hard to pry him away.
