Look for the emergence of T-Jones!!!

Plus some minutes for Dwight at his original position of PF would be a welcome relief for him. I think he gets frustrated banging bodies every night as an undersized 6'10" center, beats people only with his athleticism and quickness ability (said as much in the Hakeem training video).

Asik at PF? Maybe if he develops a jump shot but doesn't seem laterally quick enough.

Agree about value, Calderon. Smith should take a cut to play on contender and give us flex. At 12m does that mean that you can simply flip them? Id take it if I'm smith. Why would Asik need to want a trade? Also not sold on fact that 10-15min of Asik is > 30min of a pf with range + ability to defend perimeter. Show me the numbers! Also what is ABJ?

All the people doing the lecturing seem to conveniently forget all the minds that are changed in sports, how a player or team say they are happy in one place only to take a job at another place. Heck, Howard picked up his option in Orlando and then asked to be traded! Howard was a stand up guy in this but sports make you skeptical.

so when does this rockets special on the radio take place? i was pulling my face, since I have no hair as of now, when charlie p was doing rockets talk. there is just no emotion there as he is one of those that thinks mj would have won our titles and dude is from ny.

Then, astros game was on. After that, I switched over to 610 (i was desperate) and the most disgusting broadcast was going. Cbs radio is in L.A and they were all dogging our organization and howard. what a bunch of sore losers.

I need some homer rockets talk!

Yeap and Kenny. They both wanted him to stay in LA. Barkley acknowledged Houston fans. Is disappointed with Dwight's game but also a big fan?? Thinks McHale will help him improve. Kenny admits it's a great fit for him, money not a factor. But before this they were like how could he possibly leave LA.

There is a 150% salary matching rule in trades, so Asik (8.3) for J.Smith (12) would work as a straight up trade.

The reason why I said only if Asik wants a trade is because I think Morey wants to keep Asik even as a back-up center as he mentioned in his post-Dwight meeting interview on 790. Therefore, only if Asik wants out, Morey will trade him.

Anyways, this speculation is probably moot because Josh Smith got paid 13.2m last season and apparently rejected a 15m deal to return to the Hawks. He could take a pay cut and come to Houston for 12m but I think Detroit are gonna offer him 14-15m and he'll probably go there.

No way is Josh Smith worth Asik AND Lin.

I do not think any stars in their prime left them after one year.

    Houston Pride

There is a buzz about to brew into Houston fellas. Let's do this city proud by being making noise at home, the bars, the games. So excited. Best birthday week ever. I was hoping to get a Rockets tat when they won another championship, new logo, or had money to splurge. Ready to get some new Rockets gear.

Asik alone would allow us to offer Smith about 12.5 - add in someone like Ohlbrecht and this number goes up to about 13.5, which might be enough. Or instead add a player like Jones or Moti and this number goes up to about 16 million, which would definetly enough.

I think we desperately need to upgrade our PF position - a trade like this would give us about 35 quality minutes and a "full" starting five. Keeping Asik makes sure our C position can stay fresh and out of trouble, but only nets you about 15-20 quality minutes.

I think the question is: what do the Hawks want? A draft pick? Parsons? I don't know, what else I would be ready to give up - definetly not Parsons. A first rounder? Maybe - Nah, make that probably.

Did we listen to the same interview? Maybe I missed something but neither of them even remotely intimated that they wanted Howard to stay in La.

More like both guys thought he made the smart decision.
