Totally different, Lebron joined C.Bosh to be with Wade. The trio made a pact to be together, unlike Dwight who was on his own. Dwight is only coming here alone with no pact, left Lakers (storied franchise) and LA. I guarantee you that most people would be doing opposite of Dwight. He could of just counted his money and live like a king in LA. Dwight's decision is harder than Bron.
glad its over and houston was the end destination. hopefully we can keep the team intact. my only concern is too many good players and only 1 ball.
Yeah, this feels great. As a Rocket fan I am so hell proud to finally see us compete for the biggest stage again. Still have plenty of work to do, but overall we are all EXCITED!
Morey's interview on CSN http://www.csnhouston.com/basketball-houston-rockets/talk/moreys-reaction-there-was-little-screaming
After Morey's interview a couple of days ago when he said Lin and Asik were NOT AVAILABLE, this doesn't surprise me. Too many bull**** sports journalists just offering speculation and then everyone here (especially the ABJs) blow their wad. And there were an awful lot of Dwight doubters too. The process of getting Dwight has been systematic and logical, almost following precisely the predictions of cap analysts like Bima and others here. You understand Morey's thinking from his interviews and you can understand his strategy, what players he values and what players he would chase. I think Morey values Asik more than people think and Lin too. Some people on this board and in the media clearly under value Lin. I think Josh Smith might turn out as an either/or proposition, not a Dwight AND J.Smith. If Smith is a possibility then its only if Asik wants to be traded and Smith will have to come for $12m. Personally, I think Smith will go to Detroit for around 14-15. I don't know where the Calderon rumours came from but what a crock! Seriously? Lin for Calderon? Have some self respect! Per what Morey said, Asik will back-up Dwight and only play together as an experiment. Unless an amazing deal comes along... Lin Harden Parsons Howard Asik My twin towers prediction from nearly 7 weeks ago
I hope Dwight gets this as promise  If I see him, I'll definitely treat him for lunch, or dinner. Sure, he makes gazillions more than I do, but seeing him happy with give us a championship, priceless. Update: Radio host Lance Zierlein has also joined the cause. He tweets that Howard will now also receive free food at Papa John's, the Egg & I, Firehouse Subs and Genghis Grill.
Truly funny thing is RWs reply, not knowing he's getting trolled. Morey does clean up mistakes quick but daamn that pick was a disaster.
He almost has to say this to save face in the event that they are not moved before the season starts. Having said that, there is no doubt in my mind that the calls are coming in and they are going on about there guys. And i would not be surprised, nor should you guys be when one or both of these guys are moved for other pieces to the puzzle very, very soon.
It's really blessing to have a guy like Morey running the show, truly one of the best GMs in the nba if not the best IMO
And that's not the only thing. When the Lakers traded for him, he told them, he is not ready to commit and he wants to be a free agent. They were just counting on him not leaving the Lakers - well, their gamble backfired. LeBron was in Cleveland his whole career, not just one season. And he was the only good thing that ever happened to that team, he meant a lot more to them than Dwight did to Miami.
I know we need a starting quality PF (and possibly a star at that) but I would hate to lose Asik. Just remember how terrible our D was when he took a breather. We still needs his services, unless one expects Howard to play 48 minutes. Plus, I don't trust any of our young bigs to play backup center.
