Another question: name me which 3 players they had that were, collectively on offense, better than Harden, Dwight, Anderson & Parsons? Those Phoenix teams weren't even close to those 4, on any level, offensively. Just a fact.

EDIT ABOVE POST: Name me 4, not 3.

How many Championships did the Lakers win?

Robert Horry at PF, stretch four, allowed Kobe and Shaq to do what they do best.

You add a PF in Josh Smith who can't shoot, he's just in the way and a liability on offense.

we all know that Dwight works best when he's surrounded by shooters.
why is Houston better positioned than that Orlando team that Dwight took to the finals?

    James Harden.

make Ryan Anderson be that stretch four so that James Harden and Dwight Howard can do what they do best.

Exactly what who is looking for according to whom?

When we played Greg Smith and Asik together, did our offense quit functioning? Does Greg Smith spread the floor?

You're fighting a losing battle, Jim. There isn't a modern day team, in my opinion, that has had the fire power that a potential starting 5 of Lin, Harden, Parsons, Anderson & Howard have. If there is, enlighten me.

I think you're failing to grasp the concept that most have already understood - you don't want a paint clogger next to Dwight Howard if your ultimate goal is to win a championship. You need a guy that can space the floor with his shooting in order to avoid the double-down on Dwight. Also, you want the lanes open for Lin & Harden to drive and score. This really isn't too hard to understand, I would think.

an MVP Nash, and A'mare stoudemire were freaking deadly.

Shawn Marion was the most amazing garbage guy i've ever seen.

The difference is, Dwight's going to be in the post, no reason to have a 4 who can't shoot.

Houston needs to pull the defense away from Dwight, not the other way.

Individually, perhaps. But you either forget or underestimate how much better Nash made all those guys.

And what's to say that Harden doesn't do that for this group? Or Howard?

Harden doesnt make the players around him better in the same way Nash in his prime did, no.

Howard gives you a formidable second line of defense, yes. But he cant play 48 minutes for one, and two, when comes off his man to stop penetration, guess what can happen?

You can say that definitively about a 23-year-old superstar? Interesting.

again, was the personnel on that Orlando team known for their defense? NO

why were they better defensively? Dwight Howard completely changed everything.

There's no reason to think that he can't do that for our young guys.

Agree. Also, I fail to see his argument pertaining to how Josh Smith is a better fit for this team. Nothing thus far.
