Guys, keep in mind that this doesn't sound like Asik to me..Asik keeps out of the media so much. Probably someone on twitter trying to stir stuff up

Doc Rocket already said Asik didn't say anything like that.

This. This is probaly started by his agent because Asik will have lower production.

This. I never once believed Asik is demanding a trade. Just doesn't seem like the type to do stand what real leverage does he have? He's under contract for 2 more years. If we decide to keep him than I don't really see what else he can do but play.

Of course Asik never said that, there's way too many words in those sentences to come from Omer

On a more serious note, Asik is as professional as they come.

I agree this sounds very un-Asik like.

The only reason I'm entertaining it is because Windhorst is reporting it, and I think he's pretty reputable. I'm hoping he's just being terribly misled, possibly by Asik's agent as others suggested.

Either way he's probably on the trading block no matter what.

All I know is that the Rockets defense and rebounding was severely lacking when Asik wasn't on the floor last year.

He's a solid player and played hard for the Rockets.

Won't blame him. The hardest working guy, most improved player on the team. May be better and healthier than Howard in a couple of years.

True. It doesn't make much sense to have $30M tied up in centers while they still have the same hole at PF.

ok the source is probably the tool espn reporter for Houston who said that scottie pippen was a significant trade in Houston history. he said Olajuwon as another big event. didn't even mention drafting of YAO. what a tool

if were going to lose both Asik and Lin just for Smith i would'nt be happy. Asik alone is more valuable than Smith. now if its aldridge i can definitely live with that.

It's more like his AGENT is forcing a trade.
