Anderson is a better fit offensively, but are you really all that worried about an offense that put up 106pts per game and routinely scored 120? And they will be BETTER than that with the addition of Dwight and Smith, both of whom are superior to Asik/GSmith/OtherPF offensively. Defense is what really hurt last year, and Smith complements the defense very nicely.
You mean the Ryan Anderson who, as a POWER FORWARD, led the league in 3's in 2011-12 and was 2nd last year only to Steph Curry?
The Rockets has enough shooter. TJ and DMO can shoot 3. Post-up and Good D players is more important.
Who posted that trade with EGordon, stay far away from him and his max deal. He's nowhere close to worth that.
Exactly, Ryan Anderson is overrated by many. The problem right now is to trade Asik, who is redundant with Howard. I expect Rockets to get a dynamic four plus good picks if possible if you can't get equal value in return.
I like Asik for Anderson AND Vasquez plus a 2nd rounder, but the Pelicans messed that up when they destroyed their future by signing Tyreke Evans and letting Vasquez go in the trade. Id only give up Asik and Lin for Holiday, Anderson, Aminu, and Xavier Henry.
The man was given an opportunity. Who's to say this season couldn't be D-Mo's breakout year if given the chance to actually play. I'm just saying, you don't overpay for something you already have.
Guy would be the perfect fit, I think, in this offense because of his skill set. Guy is a lights out shooter who can hit from anywhere. He's exactly guy that we need as a PF. Not saying I'm opposed to Josh Smith, because I'm not, I just think that Anderson is a better fit, nothing more, nothing less.
Ok, I just came in from mowing the lawn(after ESPN announced the Dwight decision, my wife made me go mow the lawn) & haven't read the 1st 9 pages; but here's a question. With Robin Lopez, Nerlens Noel, Anthony Davis & Jason Smith, why's NOP interested in Asik?
But we don't have that guy, haha. We have a power forward, in D-Mo, who has a nice stroke, but projects to be FAR less consistent as a 3-pt. threat than Ryan Anderson. Give me Anderson any day of the week.
