Yes, however the more expensive alternate happens to best buds with our future star center and his a pretty good player to guard I say the likes of Mr. Durant and Mr. James. Thank you...
I don't doubt Gordon's talent but that cap hit at $13 mill a year for the next 3 years is a lot for a player given his history of injuries. But I guess taking a gamble on Gordon/Anderson panning out is better than hoping that Josh Smith knows his role on offense.
Sat next to Ryan Anderson at the super bowl and he was the most annoying person there. Even his teammates were annoyed by him
Anderson is the guy I want for this team. Would create so much spacing for Harden & Howard to work with. He's such a better fit for this team than Josh Smith, although not anywhere near as good of a defender.
Now if Royce was still here, we could've thrown him in with Asik. I mean, that would be another player. Otherwise, for Asik, I would want Anderson and the pelicans 1st round draft picks in 2014 and 2015.
Anderson is a much better fit than Josh Smith, but Josh Smith coming to Houston is probably one of the reasons why Dwight wants to go there in the first place.
In this thread people are overvaluing the hell out of Omer Asik. Is he a good center? Yes. But people stating they want multiple firsts AND Anderson? Are you kidding me?
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but doesn't D-Mo have the EXACT SAME skill set as Anderson? What's the hype for if we already have a CHEAPER stretch four with post moves?
You can get a floor spacer like that much cheaper than Asik. Heck, DMo and Terrence Jones can be that if they improved over the summer. If I'm trading Asik, a double-double machine and one of the premier defenders in the NBA, I want a "special" player. Josh Smith fits that. Anderson? Not so much.
