no one is paying attention to this for some reason. No official confirmation from anyone at this point yet people celebrate. ESPN is a joke and the "sources" have been wrong
You are right. Alex Kennedy @AlexKennedyNBA 2 minutes ago Source close to Dwight Howard: "The reports are inaccurate. The Lakers haven't been informed of anything" WHY WON'T THIS END!? Read more: http://hoopshype.com/twitter/media.html#ixzz2YE2rUiJ6

Sooooo, I get it..... Howard and the Lakers are trying to work a S&T so a)Howard gets his extra $$$ and b) Lakers get compensation.
From what I gather on ESPN, the teams Howard is not going to already know. It is Houston and LA that haven't received official notice that they are eliminated or chosen. But the reports saying it is Houston come from reputable sources and are being "confirmed" by others.
The ONLY way Howard would make more is if he stays with the Lakers. There is no S&T that gets Howard a 5 year deal. That changed with the last Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Hey guys. I just rememberd something MOREY IS STILL IN LA DWIGHT HAS TO GO TO LA! Media wants to say hes meeting Kupchack. Maybe he is. To tell him.....CYA LATER. i hope...
If Dwight renigs on this, he would ruin his reputation forever. Especially if it's over a couple million dollars. While this may not be his fault, for someone that claims to hate to be the bad guy, he sure has sought out the limelight in kind of a douchey way the past three years. With that said, I hope to God he's on my team.
Alex Kennedy @AlexKennedyNBA 4 minutes ago Dwight Howard will meet with the Lakers very soon and then an official decision is expected "tonight or tomorrow morning." #almostover
Relax all this means is that Howard is upset with LA. DH let it be known to Kobe and Nash that he was upset with them and the franchise
It's not over until the Rockets announce it officially. The media will rush in order to try and be the first, or once a couple of media sources push it they will rush in order to appear like they aren't out of the loop. Until the Rockets announce the trade it's not done. It could be that Dwight wants to tell the Lakers in person since he played for them, and is trying to make sure he isn't seen like another LeBron. But nothing is done until the Rockets say it's done. The fact that Clutch thinks enough to put it on the front page is a good sign that it will most likely happen.
It's done, guys. Hell, it's almost certainly BEEN done for at least a week. Doc Rocket said it was done over the freaking All Star break. All that's left, really, is for Ricksmith to post his mystery photo.
