I know Smith is Howard's bff and all, but frankly I think this is not a wise move, especially if the team has to give up Asik.

Is Smith durable? What is his injury history?

    I can't think why he wouldn't?

He'd be a perfect fit next to Howard. Would allow Josh Smith to harrass his man out on the perimeter and all the way in. Would make for a lockdown defensive tandem, and Smith has shot the 3 better than Millsap over their careers to date.

I would be happy with either Smith or keeping Asik, but Asik may not work out next to Dwight. Smith is the better option going into the season.

I think Asik is such a value deal that we could package Royce with him (along with filler like DMo) and ATL would still take it.

Howard and Smith could be the worst C & PF free throw shooting tandum ever. It's going to be great to watch!

Howard really likes Calderon. Good shooter and playmaker. Gives time to develop Bev and Canaan.

Asik, White and Jones for S&T Smith (12 mill a year). Then cutting Anderson and Ohlbrecht would actually open up space for us to sign Howard, i think.

Not sure how legit these guys are, but I can't really blame Asik for wanting out I guess.

I really hope this falls through - DO NOT want him......

LeMarcus Aldridge, Kevin Love, heck even Pau Gasol - for one year after being amnestied is better than Josh Smith, he is just not all that good of a player, and he seems to have a low BBall IQ.

I agree, Lin might flourish more under Dwight. However there is still the question on how much he is going to have the ball in his hands.
