I think its Dwight is playing us. If i was Morey I would pull his card and leak some news of us looking at other options.

They will loose Barnes and Thompson...especially without any 1st rounders for the Lakers...expect the Lakers not to budge on the trade...they have to get Bogut, Barnes Thompson and picks...guaranteed...

 

This would be hilarious. I wouldn't even be mad.

 

I want to think this, but I don't think they care. They're going to suck next year (and probably a few years thereafter) and they know it. Sucking w/ some decent picks may be more attractive than sucking and letting him walk for nothing.

 

Can't take it any longer. I'm logging out and hope to see a HOUSTON SIGNS DWIGHT AND SMITH later tonight when I log in. Pretty fun day in here today, the roller coaster of emotions makes me thirsty for a beer or 14.

 

I think that is our best hope at this point LOL.

Yes sign him without getting Howard. If we get Howard then we'd need to trade Lin and other pieces (my guess)

I'm just being honest. I hope Warriors don't get Howard though. I live in the bay area, and there are a TON of bandwagon fans here. Warriors getting Howard would mean more and more people here saying 'i've been a warriors fan for ___ years'

same thing happened when niners went to the superbowl.

I also expect a decision later today, if not tomorrow. Wouldn't be surprised to see it delayed until Monday though.

Only issue, is that would kill the appeal of GSW.

 

Don't think so...but Morey needs to have it promised and 100% first with the Hawks...AND then he needs to sign Dwight first then make the trade. I guess none of this stuff is official until the 10th any ways so a Smith trade could be announced first right?

But the Hawks would have the leverage so Morey may need Howard's signature to take away that leverage.

 

Would have been nice to know that then...
