I'd say it's rather coincidental that the plane owned by the former owner of the Rockets is making a quick trip to Aspen, Colorado today.
One would hope, if he does so again I think it would be time to stop calling him this genius that knows how to get it done. Should be clear to him now, Dallas is not NY or LA and players aren't flocking there anytime soon. He has to build his team just like all us other NBA teams have to.
Maybe a courtesy by Dwight, calling each team that he isn't signing with and telling them he chose another team? Seems more courteous to me than announcing who he is signing with, without giving prior notice to other teams.

If Dwight chooses the Warriors, I would rob them blindly if I'm the Lakers. Demand Barnes, Thompson, and three first unprotected 1st round picks. The Warriors would have zero leverage. No reason to help a division rival.
They won't. I had a thread that was locked up earlier saying why. These two franchises/cities HATE each other. Kupchak would also be run out of town if he did a S&T with GS. The perception would be that Kupchak couldn't close the deal with Howard, and that Jerry West (ex Laker great as Player and GM) could. Why would they help their in-state rival be a power house for the next five years? NO way the Lakers (and Kupchak) are going to do this.
Wasnt dwight in denver last night at rockies game? How do we know hes still even in aspen. He may have flown back to LA this morning or after game. Or maybe to houston!
