12 a year is a great price for him. Good deal for both sides. The going rate for really-good-not-quite-franchise guys is 12. That's iggy, smith, Jefferson types. Exact right price for him.

Putting him on the bench, assuming that this isn't part of a bigger play for Dwight.

Nope. They're actually even more in it than they were before.

GS could still move Bogut and Lee to to sign Dwight, no? If Dwight wants to go to GS, they still very well could pull this off.

    Curry
    Thompson
    Iggy
    Lee
    Bogut

    Barnes

That's not bad, though they still need a better bench

Golden State knows D-12 is not signing with them.

I would choose the Warriors right now if I were Dwight..
    This is looking dire.

Okay so they dump Biedrins+RJ to sign Iggy

Now they can offer Bogut+(Klay or Barnes) in an S+T for Dwight.

    I'm kinda scared tbh.

I wonder if Lakers would do a sign and trade centered around Barnes and Bogut/Lee.

That is a helluva lot of money for a role player. I wouldn't have given him more than 7-8 a year

Brandon Rush, 2014 first rounder so far and other unknown picks. Hmm.

Well regardless of what the Lakers and Warriors want, for even if the agree on a trade, they'd require Dwight Howard, who is an unrestricted free agent to comply.

This is all a just in case scenario the Warriors are trying to do. I think that the Warriors need to entice the Lakers on a trade, which would make it worth their while, in case Dwight Howard tells them that he'd like to join them. And the Warriors are trying to have a package the Lakers would find appealing.

But as has been reported, Dwight is keeping his decision close to his chest.

Why did Utah do this deal?? GSW has wanted to get rid of Jefferson and Biedrins' contracts for a long time. Their value as players are very low... Why would Utah be willing to pay $20 million plus to help the Warriors? For Brandon Rush? You gotta be kidding me.

Even if they were to get multiple draft picks, they have to know that with a core of Bogut-Lee-Barnes/Iguodala-Thompson-Curry, any picks they get are not going to be high... This is a real headscratcher from Utah's side.

And yes... GS is a very REAL threat to the Rockets now. This definitely paves the road for a Barnes + Bogut sign and trade. If Dwight decides he wants to play with Curry over Harden... It's all over. :(
