Warriors can't sign Howard outright, but they can still acquire him in S&T. Possible they gave up one of Barnes/Klay. Thats why they are "out of the race". They no longer have the assets for a S&T, at least enough to keep the team competitive for Dwight.
Lets think about the warriors, aside from Dwight. Curry Thompson Igoudala/Barnes Lee Bogut Is a seriously fun/good core.
People need to see it, then. Seems like the icing on the cake. http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N218MD
I sincerely feel like I cannot breathe. If they pull this ish off, I don't even know if I could be mad. The only thing keeping me sane is Woj's tweet about them withdrawing from the race. And who's to say they won't change their minds if/when they move Bogut? I can't.
If Golden State signed Iggy for $48 million to trade away Thompson or Barnes who are cheap, they are stupid. I believe Woj.

Warriors can still go get Dwight if he choses GST - but we're talking S&T with Bogut/Barnes imo - I have said Houston from start
— Eric Pincus (@EricPincus) July 5, 2013

Are we getting JSmith as well??? ______________________ Omer Asik is expected to be part of a sign-and-trade with the Lakers if free agent Dwight Howard chooses the Rockets. Per ESPN's Marc Stein, the Lakers have shown a level of interest in Asik previously. He's obviously not the rim protector or athlete that Howard is, but there wouldn't be many better replacements available for the Lakers. In his first full season as a starter, Asik averaged 10.1 points, 11.7 rebounds and 1.1 blocks. He just turned 23 years old on Thursday and projects to improve quickly over the next few seasons.
